To Whom It May Concern,

In the interest of investigating entry-level engineering opportunities with your company, I am attaching my resume for your review. Please feel free to forward this letter and resume as you see necessary.

During my Civil Engineering education at Texas A&M University, I have enjoyed completing coursework in concrete/steel design, structures and structural analysis, mechanics, dynamics, fluid dynamics, environmental science technology, hydrology, project management, transportation engineering, geotechnical engineering, and surveying. I added to this experience by completing a study abroad program in Belgium during which I was introduced to coursework in water and wastewater treatment as well as toured the workings and design of several water treatment plants and water related facilities.

I have held several retail positions and am currently working as an Engineering Aide/ Applications Engineer. I am now looking forward to applying my skills and knowledge in a new setting where I can continue to grow in this field and, at the same time, be a positive contribution to your company.

My education has been fast-paced, challenging and broad in scope and has required strong, technical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of all materials and courseware. I am self-motivated, a very hard worker, and a fast learner. If something is put before me that I do not understand, I do what it takes to figure out what it is I need to know, learn it, and perform the task at hand correctly and to the best of my ability. I am accustomed to acute and stressful situations and know that my hard work, competence, maturity, and enthusiasm will positively contribute to your team. I am eager to gain more experience in the field of engineering and wish to quickly prove myself as an excellent worker, individual, and employment investment.

I welcome the opportunity to meet with you to discuss how I may be an asset to your company. I can be reached anytime M-F from 9-7pm central time at 832-***-****. I look forward to speaking with you.

Sincerely,

Christopher Genaro Abila
