Developed Forecasting and Replenishment Tool. Project was for supplier needing visibility of multiple SKUs in multiple regions and stores. Tool provided weekly, monthly, and quarterly review reports looking at the relationship between sales, receipts, inventory and instocks. Result was improved productivity at store level and improved production planning that reduced the days of inventory the supplier needed to maintain in their warehouse.
Developed Product Concept Shop for Retailer. Result was an overall increase in the WalMart mens athletic department sales. Development included product and rack placement as well as in-store POP for all WalMart mens athletic brands. Execution included setting floor shops as well as managing & hiring in-store rep companies to merchandise the concept shop in other stores.
Increased Product space by 60%. Project included developing a new brand image for the Starter Brand. Other tasks included executing a best in class analysis of competition for apparel and other athletic categories (i.e. inflatables, socks, and footwear), co-designing marketing materials for WalMart in-store using national campaign design and strategy, and creating presentation and timing & action plan for execution.
Increased Product business by 75%. Overall project was to develop a new merchandising strategy for the girls apparel department in the denim category. Included a comprehensive review of the competition as well as an analysis of demographic and Store of the Community data. The result was two additional brand extensions for Riders Girls denim. The overall impact for WalMart was adding a new tween business as well as improving the ease of shopability in the girls apparel department.
Collaborate with Retailer on New Product and Shop strategy for Department. Project included reviewing WalMart’s strengths and improvement needs in brand strategy, pricing, product assortment, floor lay-out, and in-store POP compared to their competition. The result was a new floor product lay-out as well as additional signing and directional needs for the department.
