Susan Lindgren Intermediate School is a public school serving approximately 360 students in grades 4, 5 and 6. At Susan Lindgren I:
• Teach Spanish to thirteen classes of students, totaling approximately 350 children in grades 4, 5 and 6.
• Continue to develop a new, standard Spanish learning curriculum that incorporates multimedia, traditional pedagogical methodologies, and contemporary techniques. This curriculum will become the standard model for year-one Spanish-language learning at the Saint Louis Park Public schools.
• Emphasize the use of technology in every lesson. Examples of this include digital pronunciation guides, Keynote presentations with inbuilt assessments and the incorporation of commercial software packages to enhance learning.
Robbinsdale Spanish Immersion School, Robbinsdale MN

Robbinsdale Spanish Immersion School is a school serving students grades K-8 learning Spanish through total immersion. At Robbinsdale Spanish Immersion School I:
• Created and then taught digital lessons on the subjects of alcohol and tobacco. Regarding these units, Martha Bigelow (professor of Second Languages and Cultures Education at the University of Minnesota) praised “This is content-based instruction at its best!” and “This unit rocks!” regarding my digital unit on tobacco.
• Taught eight 7th and 8th grade classes of thirty students, some of which were immersion classes, others taught through a traditional approach in English.
Saint Paul Public Schools, Saint Paul MN

Saint Paul Public Schools is one of the largest school districts in Minnesota. With SPPS I taught at both Monroe Elementary School and the Open School. At these two schools I:
• Taught ELL individually and to small and large groups of students.
• Focused on ELL learner strategies involving writing, speaking and listening.
• Maintained records of student progress and planned lessons accordingly.
• Worked with a diverse group of students grades K-6 including Hmong, Cambodian, Mexican, Ecuadorian and Somalian children.
University Of Minnesota Security Monitor Program
Theft Prevention Specialist, March 2004 – January 2007
At the Security Monitor Program I:
• Served the student populace escorting clients across campus and ensuring the safety of persons and articles.
• I performed receptionist duties, fielded questions, had guests sign in and provide appropriate identification as well as purveyed over surveillance footage.
• Participated in strategic positioning projects and documented the outcome.
