Google Health: The goal of Google Health project is to facilitate the BCBSMA customers and business teams with the ability to extract their claims information via their Google health web page and generate reports using the Cognos Business Intelligence tool.
Disease Management: Disease Management tool is a Health care Information System (HIS tool). This tool is used to manage data related to member eligibility, participation and statuses in Blue cross programs. This tool also generated Cognos reports for the business areas for the analysis purpose.
MetaVance (MTV): MetaVance is a HIPAA-ready system that supports consumer-directed health plans, medical management and claims processing. It helps better administer health insurance products such as HMO, PPO, CDHP, indemnity and hybrid managed care programs.
Member eligibility web service: This is a generic web service for BCBSMA vendors to verify member eligibility and BHOMS member eligibility checks.
Provider list web service: BCBSMA will provide vendor (BHL) a web access to allow vendor to extract a list of National program eligible providers as of the extraction date.
Financial feeds for Blue Enroll track: Add the new Financial functionality in the Blue Enroll Application (Blue Enroll is used for enrolling BCBSMA members in several health plans – Medial, Vision, Dental), See Beyond messages and backend RTMS system. The added new functionality allows the plan sponsors to add the Health Saving Account (HSA) and Financial Saving Account (FSA) Financial fields to the subscribers if a group under the account is offering the financial feeds.

Projects
ATG Server to WebLogic Migration: Blue Cross Blue Shied of Massachusetts have decided to migrate all the 17 intranet and internet applications from ATG to BEA Web logic server. Also during this migration, new functionalities were added to the existing web applications.
Enterprise Front End: The Enterprise Font End (EFE) is a system of software components that runs in BCBSMA’s SeeBeyond middleware environment. The EFE accepts batch 837 claim files from Emdeon and transforms those claims into the TRLOG format (cobol). Included in the EFE workflow is claim validation and claim data storage. EFE sends claims to Faciledi for validation and to HIPAA Lifecycle Manager (HLM) for storage.
Blue Core Reports: Blue Cross Blue Shield wants reports that will identify al actions an associate has taken on a claim. These reports should be generated through Data warehousing tools. The reports should leverage the existing Metavance Audit Report logic for new development. Business requires these reports to be stored in a manner that supports the claim processing structure as well as importable into desktop.

• Studied and analyzed all the 17 web applications with the help of existing documents, and sessions with the SMEs and Point of Contact (POC) of an application.
• Studied the interdependencies among various applications. Model these interdependencies in the form of Swim Lane Diagrams in MS Visio. So that applications must be migrated accordingly
