Position Summary:

Outside Claim Representative positions included investigation, handling and.resolution of both personal and commercial lines property losses. Duties included timely contact and inspection, investigation of cause of loss and policy coverage analysis, estimates of property damage, calculation of property valuations, claim settlement and issue of electronic payments. Trained in subrogation and salvage identification.

Proudly served with the Special Investigations Unit for Aetna (1992-1994) covering New Jersey. Duties included investigation of suspicious claims for both commercial and personal lines including auto and general liability, property, arson, motive and opportunity, provider fraud and accident rings, as well as suspicious burglaries and valuable items disappearances. Extensive experience in interviewing, written and recorded statements, examinations under oath, and recommendations to the claim department for claim disposition. Duties also included interaction with State, Federal and local law enforcement entities having statutory oversight of investigations. Also performed training sessions in recognition of suspicious claims for service center staff and Independent Agents . Experienced with data base research for PILR, NCIC, and Prentice Hall as well as credit, Dun & Bradstreet and social security identity checks. Completed Reed School Of Interrogation and various other training seminars. Position eliminated due to re-engineering and merger with Travelers.
