MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

LOVEJOY BLOCK I / SAFEWAY, PORTLAND, OR

Implemented and oversaw building of a 2,000 piece precast hybrid movement frame structure with double “T’s” and hollow core panels. This proto type building had never been built before. Erection was done with a tower crane due to downtown full square block site location which was extremely limited for staging area. This also included all the tenant improvements for other floors.

KOHLER PAVILION HOSITAL, PORTLAND, OR

Implemented and oversaw construction of building and civil work including a precast bridge and all site work. Oversaw installation of site artwork and statues, designed all seismic connections.

HAZEL DELL TOWNE CENTER, VANCOUVER, WA

Implemented and oversaw storm water filtering system using Chitosan treatment which was only the second time approved by the State of Washington Dept. of Ecology. This system filtered storm water runoff and underwater dewatering from a 42-acre site during heavy rain conditions for five months. A total of three million gallons of water were treated and discharged into Clark County storm system with their approval. This system was to correct the design of the Storm Water Run-off Plan, which would not function because of the type of fine soil.

• Supervised installation of four intersections of new traffic signals, upgraded fifth intersection with tie-ins, and updated Fire Dept. signals.

• Supervised installation of all civil underground utilities, sewer, water, natural gas, power supply, telecommunications and storm water system with on-site filtering system.

• Cement treated complete site and County roadways for stabilization of grade.

• Supervised installation of 280’ by 180’ 96” detention system 28’ below finish site grade.

• Coordinated relocation of Pacific Corp. high voltage power transmission metal towers, Clark County Public power grid with telecommunication overheads services and Bonneville fiber feeds to their sub-station.

FRED MEYER CORP. OFFICE STRUCTURE, PORTLAND, OR

Performed all General Superintendent duties of scheduling, coordination, and oversaw all field personnel.

ALTA SIERRA MIDDLE SCHOOL, CLOVIS, CA

Performed all duties of Project Manager in addition to all General Superintendent functions. Project was a prototype setup at Swinerton Walberg to cut overhead costs consisting of 27 buildings on 39 acres. Drew up master Schedule and achieved a $450,000 motivation bonus for reducing an 18-month schedule by six months. Buildings were wood framed with 1,000,000 board feet of lumber.

CALIFORNIA STATE PRISON, MADERA, COUNTY BID PACK #5, MADERA, CA

• Achieved a three-month reduction in a 15-month schedule.

• Coordinated 19 buildings on 600 acres.

• Coordinated deliveries of all building materials from staging area up to a mile away from their installation location. (I.E. 2,700 doorjambs, 2,200 windows, 2,800 trusses).

• Coordinated with up to fifteen other General Contractors onsite during their bid pack contract work.

• Coordinated up to 475 tradesmen and five superintendents under me during our own bid pack contact work.

• Coordinated up to three concrete pumps on site at a time and placed 12,000 yards of concrete in a two month period.
