Edward R. Webber

Objective: My objective is to secure a position with upward mobility that will allow me to utilize my skills, knowledge and experience to the fullest. Working for a good company, doing what I enjoy: Working with people, while providing well for my family. I enjoy driving, working with people and computers and working outdoors. I see this as a great opportunity to combine my experiences with what I enjoy, creating both a rewarding AND enjoyable career. Can't ask for a better job than that! I believe I can be a valuable employee for you. I am also a Team Player.

Summary of Qualifications: I enjoy driving, working with people and working outdoors. I have extensive driving experience (over 15 years professionally) starting almost 35 yrs ago, including a number of years as a school bus driver working with kids of all ages from K-12 and ESL students, and enjoyed it very much. I have had experience as a dispatcher in the service, Mechanic and Owner Operator Truck Driver and of a small arcade business, dealing with young people on an up close and personal level. So I can work with little or no supervision. I have computer experience, building and rebuilding personal computers, having sub contracted to build a great number of custom units for a company that designed and installed for large corporations. Many years ago I also helped a friend for a few summers driving construction equipment. I also have been foreman of crews in a manufacturing setting. While in US Army, I was trained as 64C10, which is Transportation Specialist, training on everything from 1/4-ton jeep to a 40-ton tractor-trailer unit. Also while in Army I worked several other details such as Dispatcher, Parts Manager, and Managing KP crews, Grocery and Supplies for the Mess Hall. I also pride myself on being able to learn new skills quickly.

I was working at Positive Connections part time. This was a temporary job.

8/1/2003 to 12/08/2008 Bay & Bay Transfer Co Burnsville, MN Interstate Dry Bulk Truck Driver.

I was driving a combination hauling dry bulk cement, sand, and salt. This is a tanker unit, but I also did cross over work in the freight and flatbed divisions. I was driving 48 state, mostly east of Mississippi River, and in Canada (Ontario and Quebec) but opening up to the West and South.

6/1/2003 to 8/1/2003 Richard Knutson Inc Savage, MN Dump Truck Driver, Class A & B.

My job here was to help these adults maintain living and social skills, teach them new useful skills, and enhance old ones. I worked with Clients, Parents, and Government Officials. I had recently returned to this job on a part time basis. I am also CPR, First Aid certified, and I am trained for Medicine Dispensing. I was the Live-In Counselor before, moved to part time. I no longer work here because I am driving 48 states.

5/01/200 to 8/1/2003 PC Solutions Minneapolis, MN Sub Contractor – PC Builder.

I was a sub contractor hired to build desktop and server units to spec. I would receive all the parts in cases, open, inspect, install, test, burn in and load software then test again with software applications used. Afterwards, I would box them up and prepare them for shipping. I also did some parcel delivery for clients with smaller orders in the nearby areas.

Notes: I have a Step-Son in a wheelchair that I need to help take care of, and my fiancé has a number of medical issues that need regular care, so I am looking for something that will have me at home on a fairly regular basis. At least mostly weekends if possible. I am flexible when given some notice. I have always related well to children and young adults, which is why I opened my Arcade many years ago, but unfortunately the town was too small to make a good go of it. I opened it for the kids, as a public service, to give our kids a place to go instead of partying or delinquent activities. I would really like to find a position that is a regular job, and has benefits and a living wage. I am open to all offers...
