Representative Project Work
Project / Construction Work
Additional to being the owner of the company, I filled the roll of project/construction manager. In this role I was responsible for the overall execution of the project work. This included: solicitation of the work;
preparation of project, execution plans, schedules and budgets; procurement of equipment and material ; negotiations of subcontracts; securing and managing personnel resources; managing equipment utilization; supervising construction activities; monitoring and reporting progress, cost and schedule.
On numerous projects where the Owner employed an engineering of A/E company for primary design work, I served as the technical engineer for my company, resolving issues identified during the construction of the work, using my engineering background for civil, structural piping and electrical problems.
The following are some sample projects:
New Park Development, Munster In: project involved the development of an 11 acres low lying area including some wet lands. Project included the site design and infrastructure development for earthwork, elevations, sewer, water, and assorted elements such as playground and building structures, etc. Severed as project liaison at park board meeting to interface with the public.
Bridge Renovation, Munster In: Project included the redesign and renovation of an existing all steel bridge with metal deck grating, used by pedestrians and limited vehicular traffic. Work included bridge work and paved approach ramps complying with city ordinance design constraints for the city street design and ADA standards.
