I have recently stopped working at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital in the Emergency Department to follow a form of nursing I hold more passion for. I prefer to work in a less critical care nursing environment and would rather work in a psychiatric, oncologic, community health clinic, pain clinic setting or any other form of nursing where there is much rapport with patients in order to help them on a more holistic long-term basis. During my tenure in the Emergency Department I gained a wealth of knowledge, experience and special certifications that will last a life-time and I am very glad that I had that opportunity. Along with the many aspects of nursing learned in the Emergency Department I graduated from the WSU College of Nursing in May of 2011 and gained a plethora of experience both clinical and theoretical throughout the length of that program. I have a GPA that showcases the fact that I am a hard worker. My first love before nursing was psychiatry and counseling; I love to help people become stable and healthy in both mind and body and believe firmly that if an individual is sound in mind the rest will follow closely.

I have great organizational skills as well as amazing people skills as I have shown through my diligent work at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital in the Emergency Department, and I have also showcased these skills in previous jobs I have chosen throughout my life as Courtesy Clerk for Wray’s Thriftway, Salesperson/Cashier for Old Navy and Host/Server/Trainer at Olive Garden. Holistic patient care and interdisciplinary team work are the keys to great care and I will not stop until the patient/client has what they need to be healthy and comfortable, and I will always do my utmost to work with the team to help everyday run smoothly and efficiently to provide the best outcome for the patient. It is extremely important to hire the correct type of personality as well as a person who is willing to do everything it takes to be the best nurse in every aspect of the word, I believe I would make a great contribution to your wonderful team in both of those regards.
