In order to supplement these skills, I have recently earned an Applied Science Degree in Welding Technology. Production Welding Experience:

• On line flux core-self shielding welds applications.

• Relief welding for full body assembly line memorized all weld points and weld processes on vehicle body.

• Applied mainline pulse arc and plasma arc silicon bronze welds at production rates.

• Assisted Advance Manufacturing Engineers and vendor representatives in testing Computerize Plasma Arc Welding Machine in a production environment. Launch Team:

• Analyzed material fit up, weld and quality issues on prototype cars.

• Worked with Process engineers to facilitate online job stations, operator’s duties and sequence of operations.

• Examined welding repair methods on both prototypes and plant mainline process.

• Benchmarked welding processes at other companies.

• Attended meetings concerning vendor supplied fixtures and machinery, and was assigned to represent both assembly plant and large car engineering at Auburn Hills Chrysler Tech Center.

• Participated in assembly plant Pre-launch meetings with upper management and union officials.

Body Shop Repairman Experience:

• Monitored overall record of vehicles requiring repair.

• Utilized computerized methods for vehicle location and repair.

• Disassembled vehicles according to defined repair defects according to repair procedure, obtained resident engineer sign off on repairs. Wrote a repair procedure and reported results.

• Wrote new repair procedures as required and obtained proper signoff.

• Trace and find root cause of in system defects.

• Designed and developed tools, to do unique repairs on vehicles.

Repairs included:

• Missing or bad welds (spot welds or linear welds) according to the weld standards.

• Changing damage panels-doors, hoods, deck lids and fenders.

• Repair dents, torn metal, misaligned weld flanges and structural damage.

• Replace damaged sections of under body support frames.

• Extracted broken bolts, repaired nut pockets, rive nuts and studs.

• Repaired or replaced body sealer, primer and paint in defected areas on vehicle under bodies.
