Professional Qualifications

My 25-years of environmental regulatory affairs, Health & Safety, compliance and management experience offer companies environmental solutions designed to save money and time, while ensuring safety and compliance. I offer specialized technical and regulatory insight to provide technical strategies that meet regulatory requirements. My experience includes leadership and management of various environmental programs including Due Diligence supporting Real Estate transactions, Waste Management, Release Prevention & Response, Underground and Aboveground Storage Tanks, and Release Prevention Modifications. I also understand and have implemented rules and regulations supporting these environmental programs.

I’ve instituted cost saving strategies; thereby reducing the hazardous waste disposal budget by 75% (e.g., through the development and implementation of new policies and procedures). I saved the company more than $1 million dollars through innovative strategies regarding property management. I conducted employee training, mentoring and performed environmental compliance audits at the facilities throughout the US and Canada. I’ve also worked extensively with the SAP EHS Module.

I’ve also been involved in projects that address industrial, state, and federal facilities and have utilized my expertise under Department of Transportation (DOT), Resource and Recovery Act (RCRA), Environmental Audit Privilege and Immunity; Brownfield Redevelopment/Remediation; Michigan underground storage tank/remediation projects; and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) projects. I interfaced regularly with company employees, corporate management and attorneys to develop and review environmental strategies. I’ve worked with regulatory task forces to monitor new regulations and worked toward corporate solutions to regulatory issues.
