Position Duties: Hired to guide the estimating department on the processes of bidding large-scale projects. Researched wet utility systems without a database resource or instruction/supervision and produced an accurate and detailed bid proposal for a multi-million dollar school project within the first month of employment, along with sharing the processes with coworkers.

Within the first two weeks of employment, mastered McCormick estimating software and completed a task assigned to our twelve-member team of estimators for presentation to a new VP. Promoted from Lead Estimator to Corporate Senior Estimator two weeks later. Supervised a team of junior estimators for both hard bid and conceptual projects. Was commended by the Vice President repeatedly for creativity and ingenuity regarding estimating and business insight.

Position Duties: Initially hired for the Design/Build Dept, was “borrowed” by the hard bid department for two weeks, and was asked to stay. Provided software and estimating training to junior and senior estimators. Provided field support at UC Davis campus to estimate and manage a backlog of over 300 change orders. Developed and implemented an in-house organization of “Peer Groups” resulting in increased management communication and staff productivity.
