“Design of an optical system to position a patient under gamma ray exposure”

• The aim of the project was to design an optical system that projected a scale for distance measurement between patient table and radiation source, on the movable patient table with accuracy of 0.5 mm.

• This problem dealt with the non-axial symmetrical optical system.

• OSLO was used for designing and quality assessment of lens system. GABAR (in-house) software was used for primary calculation of field and aperture ray data.

• Successfully designed the optical system with required accuracy.

Internship (Optics Research Group, TU Delft) ` Mar2008-Jun2008

“Network, local minima and saddle point construction in optical system optimization”

• Detection and generation of saddle points in a landscape to optimise the given optical system.

• Code 5 software was used to optimize the optical system.

Bachelors major project, CITM, Faridabad Jan2005-Jun2005

“Bio-medical telemetry system”

• A telemetry device which transmits various biological parameters such as pulse rate, blood pressure of patient to the doctor’s mobile phone through a mobile communication system was designed.

• In addition to the transmitter, receiver and sensors which measured the required biological parameters were designed.

• Theoretical and practical studies on the various systems used in operation of Delhi metro like FOTS (Fiber Optics Transmission System),CCTV (Closed Circuit Television), Radio Communication System, ATS (Automatic Train Signalling), MCK (Master Clock System), PIDS (Public Information Display System), PAS (Public Address System), TIMS (Train Information Management System).
