Summary
• Masters in chemical engineering from Texas A&M Kingsville with a good technical back ground
• Professional experience as pilot plant engineer in ammonia plant and pharmaceutical plant hands of experience in selection of equipment ,participated in designing PFD and PID
• Confident in making best use of process simulation software’s like Aspen, PRO ll ,HYSYS, HTRI, Hextran, and can apply cap cost for cost reduction, and grasp other simulators in short time
• Easy flow in the use of Microsoft office, Math cad, SAS(statistically analysis system)
• Good Academic knowledge in Separation, Fluid Dynamics ,Material and energy balance, pinch technology, Designing and making specification for equipment selection
Professional Experience
Intern in Vasant Laboratories: May 2006 to Sept 2006
• Experience in Scale up (technology transfer) from Pilot Plant to Commercial.(Execution of Trial & Validation batches) in Co-ordination with R&D Solvent Recovery System and solvent recovery system
Intern in Matrix Laboratories: May 2007 to Sept 2007
• Worked as intern in Ammonia Synthesis Plant
Process Engineer in Matrix Laboratories: May 2008 to Nov 2008
• Operation of various type of reactor (like batch, continuous)
• Preparing Basic Engineering and Equipment selection guidelines
Texas A&M University-Kingsville August 2010 to May 2011
Unit Operation and Process control – Lab Assistant:
• Handled equipments like Batch enzyme reactor, Dual distillation column, Liquid – Liquid extractor, distillation column, level controller and heat controller
Academic Projects
• Masters project : Separation Of Azetropic Mixture
The project is to compare the degree of separation achieved for THF-Water system by using different entrainer with the help of simulation software like Aspen and PRO II .And finding the best entrainer with optimized cost and energy. Studied the effect of variables on the composition of distillate product
• Designing of interstate gas pipe line between Farmington and Seattle by building compressors, coolers and calculating the specifications of the pipe and applying cap cost to yield low cost for the supply of gas.
• Designing and Rating of shell and tube heat exchangers using HEXTRAN and HTRI, and comparing the results by calculating theoretical values.
• Designing of the networks using Pinch Technology.
Production of Biodiesel using Waste Vegetable oil
• Developing the chemistry for production of biodiesel using various raw materials, catalyst and finding the best which yields maximum amount of biodiesel.
• Designing of the plant using Hysys and Aspen .comparing best among those two packages.
• Estimated the cost using CAPCOST
