Manager, Content Development and Standards (2008)
Managed a team of content developers to deliver training materials in instructor-led classes, web-based training, online simulations, online help systems, and in print.
Supported IT, HR, eCommerce, Accounting, and other business applications, both at corporate HQ and field sites.
Defined editing and review processes for all of the applications training and documentation department.
Developed templates for print, online, and simulation training.
Supervisor, Content Standards and Deployment (2005-2008)
Led a small team in charge of editing, layout, and formatting technical training in all formats.
Conducted usability testing on the help design and training content, and implemented improvements identified.
Managed the department’s Google server to provide searching for all online content.
Senior Technical Writer (2000-2005)
Administrator for AuthorIT, a single-source content development tool. Maintained templates and backups, and provided training and troubleshooting.
Maintained the department Intranet site.
Designed, developed, and tested a new online help interface for a new ERP implementation.
Provided documentation and other training materials for 10-15 IT applications and programs.
Worked as the department’s editor.

Developed internal training materials on how to schedule, set up, and use the other training materials and resources available to IBM employees.

Worked with this small Denmark-based company on their account software.
Primary task was to take user manuals translated from Danish and rewrite them in a format more accessible to American audiences.

Developed printed manuals and online help for a variety of CAD tools, focusing primarily on tools of electrical engineers for building printed circuit boards and multi-chip modules.
