Project Description Ingenix, a wholly-owned subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group (UHG), is a global healthcare information company founded in 1996 to develop, acquire, and integrate best-in-class healthcare information capabilities.

At the heart of all BI activity at Ingenix/UHG is the Galaxy enterprise data warehouse (DW). Galaxy is an atomic DW with transformations, integrating subject areas across various UGH platforms. Ingenix focused on data availability, performance, and information quality to develop Galaxy. The result: Galaxy is now the company’s single source of truth for many applications. Technologies and techniques developed for UHG are also sold to other healthcare companies, making Ingenix both an in-house analytics and IT group and a commercial solutions provider. Ingenix has three information quality goals:

• Ensure the company (and all applications using Galaxy) meets business-defined quality standards and goals. The database “must always be valid” to a Six Sigma level of verifiable quality.

• Monitor information quality continuously to save operational maintenance costs.

Description The main aim of the project is to maintain the existing data warehouse and also enhance/create new flows to enhance the data marts according to the requests received from the client.

Responsibilities • Transformation and Aggregation of data using various stages in Datastage 8.0 according to the business requirements.

• Interacting with the client for the change requests (CRs) implementation including code enhancement and testing.

• Developing design strategy for loading the data mart tables as per the request received from the client.

• Development of Workflows, data flows, r/3 flows (pulling data from SAP, sequential files, oracle etc.)And sequencing them into the existing jobs as per requirement for loading the data into the data warehouse as per the specified design.

• Reviewing of the ETL jobs.

• Maintaining the existing application by monitoring the loads, resolving the production issues in very quick turn around time and also resolving the queries asked by the different users who use the data.
