Volunteer Positions:

1988-1998 – Sterling Volunteer Rescue Squad, Sterling Virginia

I preformed services on the ambulance as a shock trauma technician. I was also an instructor for our duty crew implementing all new recruits on equipment and medical procedures.

I was also a certified instructor for CPR / First Aid through the American Heart Association. In this capacity I did several training courses through out the county including teaching the students in elementary and secondary levels of First Aid and CPR along with the faculty for the county of Loudoun. These courses were all part of the volunteering with the rescue squad, we accepted donations only for the squad.

I served on the committee for our October Fest, which included organizing tours for children to tour the rescue squad and also prizes and story telling along with question and answer time.

I was a homeroom mom, which allowed me to participate in organizing many of the events for the children in my daughter’s class throughout the year.

During the summertime I help to teach the Vacation Bible School classes. During this class we would teach the children stories of the bible and do crafts with them.

I also volunteer for the CCD classes. I am a hall monitor, however have been in the classroom assisting. During this time I help the lead instructor with what duties he/she assigns me, helping the students, reading, question and answer time. As a hall monitor we escort the children to the restroom, direct parents to the proper places if they are lost, and any other duties that are asked of us by the coordinator.
