VLSI Design-I, VLSI Design-II, Advanced Microprocessor Systems, Computer Systems Architecture, Digital Systems Design, Laboratory for DSP with FPGSs, Internet Higher Level Protocol, Project Management
STRENGTHS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
1. C, VHDL, Python, VB and Assembly language.
2. ASIC Design & Verification
3. Experienced in both hardware and software designing.
TOOLS:
1. Matlab, ModelSim, Quartus II. Xilinx ISE Tool
2. HSPICE and Mentor Graphics Tool.
OPERATING SYSTEMS:
1. Windows
2. Linux
TECHNICAL PROJECTS:
Graduate Project
1. Implemented “IP lookup Schemes in Field Programmable Gate Arrays”, an algorithm to reduce IP look up table access time using VHDL on Xilinx Virtex 6.
2. Implemented the LC-trie algorithm used for fast address look-up for Internet routers using VHDL.
Retrieved Schematic and RTL for code and finished Layout Designing and Verification.
3. Designed the 16-bit pipelined serial/parallel multiplier. Designed schematic and layout for the same using Mentor Graphics Tools.
4. Designed the 8-bit general purpose CPU using VHDL, for which Data Forwarding Technique was used to eliminate data hazards.
5. Designed the Image Edge Detector using Sobel Operators using VHDL and demonstrated the same using Altera DE2-70 FPGA Development Board.
Undergraduate Project:
1. Project Trainee in Power Control System, Nasik, India.
July 2007 – April 2008
Project: - Magnetometer
Designed of a low cost vibration and earthquake detector named “Magnetometer”.
The circuit is sensitive to changes in the magnetic field, so can be used to detect earthquakes.
July 2008 – April 2009
Project: - IR Based Programmable Virtual Keypad
Designed the virtual keypad using IR. For the 4 X 5 matrix of IR transmitters and receivers was used, their intersection was designed as a key. With the use IR , the biggest advantage is that it can be used in security related applications. The other advantage of it is that it is reprogrammable.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
April 2011 – Present: New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark NJ
1. Volunteered to work on graduate projects under Prof. Roberto Rojas-Cessa at Networking Research Lab. at NJIT.
February 2011 - December 2011: New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark NJ
Computer Lab Assistant
1. Assist students with using Microsoft office, computer software, login issues, and software installation.
July 2009 – July 2010: Power Control System, Nasik, India
1. LED Comparator
Designed the devise to indicate the health of the electronic elements sinking high current, without disturbing the target element’s working.
2. Automatic Power Factor Controller (APFC)
Assisted in the development of the device to calculate the power factor variation due to various loads in the industries, and improve it.
3. Final Testing Equipment
Assisted to develop the software of Final Testing Equipment, which is used for calculating AC leakage current, HV withstanding capability and capacitance of the newly manufactured capacitor and detect the faulty one.
4. Short Clearing
Based on Atmega16 micro-controller, developed the software for the system, which is used to clear the unwanted short-circuits formed with in a capacitor during manufacturing.
5. Cable Harness Tester
Designed the hardware & software of ‘Cable Harness Tester’, using Atmega32 micro-controller.
WORKSHOPS & SEMINARS:
1. Attended a 5 day workshop on VLSI held by Digitech Solutions, Bangalore. Workshop included introduction to VHDL language, designing of electronic circuits using VHDL, Simulations using EDA tools, synthesis of design and real time implementation on Xilinx Spartan II.
2. Participated in a robotics competition during 3rd year of engineering in Techunique’08 held by Amrutvahini College of Engineering, Sangamner, India.
