Petroleum supply Specialist
Duties
• Ensure the distribution of fuel to units of support and sustain fuel reserves.
• Enforce the safety standards that are associated with fuel distribution.
• Maintain upkeep and accountability of all equipment
• Ensure there is accountability of all fuel that is received and distributed
• During deployment ensured that all vehicle radios had the most updated encryption keys.
My primary duty is contribute the logistical continence of the mission by providing fuel to all forms of Army transport. I have personally signed for over 100,000 gallons of fuel and managed the transfer and distribution of fuel in an overseas theater during Iraqi freedom. The accountability of fuel in theater presents some logistical problems: one problem being the accurate accountability of fuel when there is an absence of proper measuring equipment. The solution of this problem came about with the collaborate effort of our section. This collaboration is essential in any team success; the sharing of feedback gives us perspectives on a problem that one person couldn’t see. With that said there needs to be leadership I provided that leadership, as a Non-commissioned officer I see the need for the collaboration and ensure that plan of actions I implemented. The utilization of technology in fuel accountability was a great asset to our section during 24 hour fueling operations in Iraq. Excel gave us the ability project future fuel needs by giving us daily and averages of fuel consumption in our area of operation. This allowed us to sustain the units in which we supported.

Reset Inventory Team
Property Book control specialist
Duties
• Conduct 100% inventory of all property of a site
• Account for all LINS (Line item number) on property book
• Document all equipment found at an installation and discerns ownership of property.
• Utilize online tool such as PBUSE, FEDLOG, SLAMIS research property that becomes in question.
The Goal of the Reset Inventory Team is to bring accountability to property management system within North Carolina National Guard. During our site visit we use that units Property book as guide of what we should be looking for. It’s the responsibly of each member of the team to be completely thorough in our inventory: this means that we must look at ever box and check every NSN of the property on hand. Collaborations is what make are team mission possible, at the end of each work day when our inventory is done we must consolidate. The consolidation brings all the NCOs who have a property book together so that we can update the primary recorder property book so he has all that we have. Its my duty to recorded everything and give the primary recorder everything. When items that are in question arise it is my responsibility to initiate the process to identify what the property is and who it belongs to. During my time with Reset Inventory Team many items have been found on installation. These FOI’s are items that are not found on the units property book. During these occurrences two things can happen: the property will be put on the books of the unit where the property was found or we discern who the owning unit is. The process of research is where we use online database such LIW (Logistic information Warehouse) and Property Book Unit Supply Enhanced (PBUSE) to find information on vast number of different items that we come across. These two tools PBUSE and LIW are tools that make our job possible.
