Worked as the liaison between the customer and the vendor to assist in large dollar value capital equipment purchases for the Information Systems Sector. Successfully assisted the Service Center Manager in performing weekly equipment reconciliation between SAP and iBILL, (internal billing system), to ensure accurate depreciation reporting. Coordinated equipment tagging and auditing with Property Management and billing team. My responsibilities regarding capital equipment extended beyond its purchase, to include its inventory, depreciation and eventual disposal.
Successfully implemented the electronic payment process of Sector Voice invoices from the Automated Disbursement Request system to Verasmart, a telecom usage accounting tool. Worked diligently with 18 vendors for account consolidation and invoice review for both the Technical Services Sector and Information Systems Sector.
Coordinated the training effort of a subcontractor to help maintain accurate data records for over 300 voice accounts. Worked directly with internal customers and vendors to research discrepancies in payments and reconciliation of past due account balances.
Initiated and organized the cleanup effort of 50 leased capital equipment returns/buy outs for the Information Systems Sector. Instrumental in pulling together Procurement and vendor contacts along with coordinating a timely payment with Accounts Payable.
Other responsibilities often required supporting other business units of the company. This responsibility required that I understand the business imperatives and priorities of interfacing organizations, and forced me to develop a mindset of how my particular organization could contribute to the betterment of interfacing organizations. Through this overarching work environment, teamwork was generated, which increased the productivity of all organizations involved.
