National Association of child care resource and referral agencies (NACCRRA) – Military Subsidy Program

• Provides supervision and technical support for the DoD/Military and AmeriCorps/Vista Child Care programs

• Work as a liaison officer between the Military Families and Child care providers.

• Assist Coordinators with clarification of policies and procedures and handling the day-to-day application process. Reviews applications to ensure applicants are contacted, and processing is completed within established timelines.

• Monitor call center log-ins and activity and ensures that Coordinators follow up on calls from their voice mail and general voice mail. Monitors Coordinators' caseloads and backlogged cases.

• Ensure that Coordinators follow up on forwarded emails, ensures faxes are logged and distributed in a timely manner.

• Assist Coordinators with answering calls from call center and where necessary and when necessary, assists Coordinators with resolving problem cases.

• Ensure that incoming supporting documents are assigned in a timely manner and ensures that files, documents, and attendance records are filed correctly and in a timely manner.

• Establish and monitor alerts for actions that are time sensitive and past due and assists Coordinators with processing backlogged applications.

Oracle DBA/ Consultant. Systems Information Services Corporation. December 2009 to January 2011.

• Installation and configuration of Oracle 10g/11g server and creation of Instance and databases.

• Created new databases and users, Export-Import and other monitoring scripts.

• Provided 24x7 on call production support.

• Identified, resolved, or provided recommendations to other different kinds of the performance problems ranging from Database performance problems to I/O hardware performance problems.

• Installed, upgraded and patched Oracle software on new machines using both 9i and 10g. Monitored production database using automatic workload repository (AWR) and automatic database diagnostic monitor (ADDM).

• Modified some Oracle backup and recovery scripts. Used Oracle backup utility RMAN to implement Oracle Hot backup and performed a number of times of disaster recovery.

• Locally managed tablespaces were used which track all extent information in the tablespace itself. This results in improved performance as it eliminates recursive operations and reliance on data dictionary.

• Performed SQL tuning by using SQL tunning advisor on Top sessions.

• Creating tablespaces and planning the location of data, index and rollback tablespaces, redo log files and control files in adherence to the Optimal Flexible Architecture.
