DIRECTOR OF SALES & MARKETING

Market & Sales Analysis / Forecasting / Contract Pricing & Negotiations / Product Development / Rollouts Branding / Sales Operations / C-Level Sales / Vendor & Customer Relations / Budgets / International

I developed and led highly successful industrial equipment sales and marketing programs in the U.S. and abroad for companies, including a top-tier international manufacturer, as well as a multi-brand distributor. Working in high-pressure and rapidly changing competitive conditions, my teams and I grew revenue and market share.

Combining sales and marketing with new product development and operations experience, I contributed to increased profitability. I turned around under-performing sales programs, consistently beating sales quotas while overseeing strong client and vendor management programs. My key differentiators include:

 Developing and executing sales and marketing strategies that create excitement

 Boosting brand awareness and buzz about company’s product offerings

 Delivering tailored training programs that spur sales growth

 Building and developing loyal and dedicated sales teams

 Leveraging resources to optimize productivity

I hold an MBA from California Coast University and a BA in Engineering-Precision Mechanics from the Heidelberg Institute. Leading by example, I am a hands-on manager who motivates and inspires others to excel. Naturally enthusiastic, sincere and competitive, I create sales “wins.” I am fluent in English and German.

SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Improved teamwork to boost sales. Inherited combative situation between Stiles Machinery’s product and sales management teams, causing reduced sales and lowered customer satisfaction. Restructured teams, improving team spirit and effectiveness. Propelled sales $14M to $68M (an all-time high) in two years.

Expanded product offerings. Stile’s core product was industrial woodworking machinery. Analyzed different market segments, focusing on those that were ancillary to existing offerings. Selected metal industry, as controls and other technical components were similar to core competency. Generated $3M in new revenue within first year.

Moved Suspa’s sales operations to U.S. Inherited division that was losing $1.9M annually. Consolidated Europe and Asia sales divisions and moved all to U.S. Grew from $1.6M to $2.2M sales and broke even in 12 months. Continued to deliver revenue increases, rising to $7M within three years.

Increased trade show sales. Selected as Chairman of the Stiles’ Show Committee to lead, manage and plan biggest annual exhibitions for the company. Reduced team from 35 to 10 members to expedite decision making. Reduced show costs by 17% and generated $25M in sales for one show, $22M above show cost.

Developed revolutionary product for Suspa. Existing industry products were hydraulics-driven. Seized opportunity to create and introduce electronic-driven product to boost sales revenue and market share. Delivered new product within a year. Grew revenue 12% ($850K) and market share 5% to 33% in first 12 months.
