Koito Manufacturing Group: Automotive Headlight Systems. Revenue of $170 million; 533 employees.

Responsibilities: P&L and all manufacturing performance metrics for a 265,000 sq.ft., 3 shift facility. Reestablish customer confidence in new product launch, on-time delivery, and quality from this location. Produce high technology forward lighting systems for Toyota, Honda, Nissan, and GM. Injection molding of a wide range of materials from lens grade polycarbonate to fiber reinforced plastics. Painting and vacuum metallization in large high volume clean rooms that run around the clock. Establish training and employee ownership of quality in all areas. Coordinate the production of 70 OEM headlight configurations from 20 assembly lines, plus past model service. Control the new product launch process to produce efficient, high quality, tooling and equipment, on-time to support customer requirements.

Accomplishments:

• Trained in Japan on Koito Production System (TPS)
