Buyer/Planner
• I schedule production for eight (8) assembly lines – Chrysler, BMW, Whirlpool and Wire Assembly Line (sell to Keikert, Haynes Brake and Lears
• Plan Production and Buy resin for our Molding Dept. – 18 presses. Produce parts for all in house production plus build parts to sell to our plants in Germany and China (will be adding a Mexico plant next year). Work with suppliers Entec, Nexco (Ashland) and Poly One
• Did daily cycle counts of all of the components/items that I was in charge of to keep inventory accurately
• Purchase and plan for all packaging materials, grease, paste and solder for all assembly lines through out the plant. Work with suppliers at Jamestown Cont., Victory Packaging, H.K. Wentworth and Hisco
• Work closely with our component suppliers – Apollo Plastics, Phillips Plastics, Sateco (Germany), Grayline, and Abateke (Germany), Ditter Plastics (Germany) and Sub-Division’s of Marquardt in Germany, Switzerland, Romania and Tunisia.
• Did SMT (Surface Mount Tech) Planning for 5 years. Worked closely with suppliers at Arrow Elect., TTI, Avnet and Kemet in US. Techwise, Red Broad and Staci in China
• Working closely with Chrysler on their model year changes. See what new changes are coming and new components getting the suppliers setup with new quotes and schedules.
• I work between our Quality Dept. and Suppliers on corrective actions for any quality issues that arise.
• Use kanban system for all of our molded parts and components from the warehouse to assembly lines and SMT
• Work with sub-contractors LoJo Tech, Sturges Elect and Emcom – they supply switches and sub-assemblies that we sell to inter companies of Marquardt in Germany, China, Tunisia and US companies Bose, Black & Decker and Sioux Tools
• Customer Service off and on over the 20 years – Chrysler, Whirlpool and Black & Decker
• In 2005 I traveled to the parent company in Germany for SAP training. In 2006 I traveled Mexico to Black & Decker and Milwaukee Tool for production and customer service issues.
