A privately owned media production company with a focus on kitting and fulfillment, 3PL services including inventory management, warehousing, packaging and distribution.
Plant Manager (5/09 - Present)
Responsibilities include staffing of 30 full time and temporary employees, production scheduling, materials management, forecasting, purchasing and receiving, and administration of 3PL inventory.
Accomplishments:
Initiated a reconciliation program to align the inventory between QuickBooks and in-house warehouse management software through analysis of weekly reports.
Developed crystal inventory reports allowing analysis of specific portions of the inventory by client, product type, and subcategories.
Initiated weekly review procedures that included cycle counts, which increased inventory accuracy, reduced shortages and overages, and provided criteria to measure variances to the amounts on hand.

Accomplishments
Implemented a database system to track equipment malfunctions and employee errors; refined methodologies utilizing RF production software and database to monitor employee quality/productivity goals increasing productivity by 9%.
Reduced percentage of total errors reported from studios by 5% during tenure, consistently attained lowest ratio of errors in all photographic labs in U.S. and Canada.
Established a minimum/maximum inventory system reducing the overall inventory, increasing inventory turnover, eliminating overnight shipping of parts and decreasing repair time.
