San Joaquin Delta College - Project included development of a new Science and Math building, relocation of a daycare facility, campus infrastructure utility relocation, and a new accessible parking lot. Work included preparation of construction drawings for civil related items and coordination with local agencies.
*Prepared civil narrative, generated earthwork calculations, and hydrology calculations for sizing storm drain systems.
*Prepared construction documents and cost estimates for all of the different projects on campus.
*Prepared fire protection plans according to the California Building Code and Plumbing Code. Utilized Watercad to model existing water system and sized proposed fire water and domestic water lines based on demands and availability.
*Provided onsite construction administration support.
Las Positas College Chabot District - Project included design for an overflow detention basin.
*Designed and prepared civil plans for flow detention basin and coordinated design effort with various consultants.
*Generated earthwork calculations, hydrology calculations and cost estimate.
Kaiser Santa Clara Campus - Project included a parking lot expansion and also a new psychiatric health facility.
*Prepared drawings for parking lot expansion and provided construction support throughout the construction phase up until completion of the project.

Project Engineer, JMH Weiss, Inc., San Jose, 5/05 – 05/08
*Project managed a variety of new land development sites and municipal developments and modifications.
*Responsibilities included civil construction drawings and coordination design effort with various consultants.
*Satisfied design requirements with agencies such as City of Fremont, City of San Jose, City of Dublin, Union Sanitary District, San Ramon Sanitary District, Alameda County Water District, and Water Control Board.
PROJECTS & DUTIES:
Pacific Commons Retail Centers - Pacific Commons is an 840-acre mixed use planned development in Fremont. Project included development of a 20 acre shopping area. Work included preparing civil design drawings, coordination with local agencies, stormwater pollution prevention plans, and hydrology calculations.
*Assisted in preparation of a variety of legal descriptions and plats as needed for reciprocal uses and utilities.
*Provided onsite grading and utility plans to accommodate different site layout for individual tenants.
Fremont Tech Center Commercial and Retail Condo - Project was for a new 9.5-acre Commercial and Retail Condo development. Scope called for a site layout, site grading and drainage, new utility services, storm water pollution prevention, and erosion control.
*Provided hydrology calculations through Hydro-Flow Software to justify storm drain pipe sizes
*Provided mapping exhibits to assist creation of Tentative and Final Maps.
*Worked closely with surveyors for ALTA Surveys, Topographic Surveys, and Construction Staking.
Silver Creek Valley Road Retail - Project scope included preparation of complete onsite and offsite civil design drawings for a 2.8 acres development of a Retail and Commercial Office Space.
*Prepared offsite public improvement plans including plan and profiles, utility connections, and construction details per City standards.
*Prepared an engineering cost estimate for offsite work for bond estimate.
*Provided construction support throughout the constructions phase up until the project completion.
Axis Condominiums & Central Place Condominiums - Axis Condominium and Central Place Condominium is a multi-story luxury high-rise tower. This project provided public parking, street level and affordable housing for the people of San Jose. Scope called for preparation of complete onsite and offsite civil design drawings.
*Prepared offsite public street improvement plans including plan and profiles, utility connections, and construction details per the City of San Jose standards.
*Setup and prepared condominium plans for high rise units using architectural plans.

Design Engineer, Mark Thomas & Company, Inc., Redwood City, 6/00 – 05/05
*Participated in the design of on two major freeway projects in the Peninsula from 35% to 100% submittals of both PS&E packages. All PS&E packages work were done using Land Development as design tool. Work included: pavement delineation, signage, layout, typical sections, stage construction, traffic handling, construction details, drainage profiles, utilities and cost estimates. Also worked on survey slope stake listings for numerous projects.
*Worked extensively on the conversion of AutoCAD files from AutoCAD to Microstation.
*Developed and managed AutoCAD Detail Block Library for internal Office usage.
PROJECTS & DUTIES:
Route 101 Widening Project and Wetland Mitigation - Project scope included 5 miles of outside widening of Route-101 from Ralston Avenue to Marsh Road. Project consisted of realignment of ramps at five interchanges, construction of soundwalls and retaining walls, utility relocations, bike path design and drainage improvements. Wetland mitigation scopes included restoration of existing wetlands and create new jurisdictional waters to mitigate the losses from the 101 Auxiliary Lane Widening project. The project also called for relocation of an existing bike path and levee to allow for the maximum area for creation of jurisdictional waters by the project.
*Designed a Pedestrian Crossing supplemental package within Route 101 Widening Project
*Used AutoCAD Land Development as design tool to generate surfaces and volume calculations.
*Setup layout sheets, typical cross sections, construction details, and grading plans.
Route 4 Bypass – Segment 1, Contra Costa County - Project scope included 3.5 miles of highway construction from existing SR4/SR160 interchange to south of Lone Tree Way in Brentwood. Scope also called for realigning Lindsey Channel and expansion of Lindsey Basin.
*Generated cross sections, surfaces, and modeling for Lindsey Channel and Basin using LDD.
*Setup layout sheets, typical cross sections, construction details, and grading plans.
Route 101/Ralston Avenue Interchange, Belmont - Project included conversion of the interchange from full cloverleaf to partial cloverleaf, realignment of local streets to a new intersection within interchange, widening of ramps, mitigation for wetland impacts, utility relocations, and drainage improvements.
*Assisted the project engineer with construction details, grading and drainage design and drafting for the PS&E.
Mission Street – Phase 1 and 2, Santa Cruz - Project scope included a two phase project of undergrounding of existing overhead utilities along Mission Street from Swift Street to Chestnut Street. The project also involved street lighting and sidewalk improvements.
*Assisted the project engineer with AutoCAD drafting of utility trench cross sections and plans sheet production for the PS&E submittals.
Norfolk Street Bridge Replacement and Streetscape Project, San Mateo - Project scope included a $5.5 million street improvements and bridge project. Design work included street reconstruction, new drainage systems, new curb, gutter & sidewalk, utility relocations, driveway conforms and replacement of the bridge over San Mateo Creek.
