02/2012-05/2012 Atlantic States Legal Foundation Inc (ASLF): Environmental Benefit Program

Rain gardens are proposed along part of West Onondaga Street to collect and manage stormwater to reduce surface runoff and improve water quality. My duty is to design the front yard of ASLF from grading design to planting design, including stormwater volume calculating and pond size design. The goal of this project is to use Green Infrastructure for environmental improvements and to enhance the streetscape.

Rethinking the Riverfront-From Binghamton and Colonial Plazas to Otsningo Park, Northside Neighborhood, Binghamton, NY. Capstone Project (for the MLA). The purpose of this project was to improve the economic condition of Binghamton by redesigning vacant and underutilized properties to attract new residents and new business along the Chenango River waterfront in the Northside Neighborhood, 09/2011-05/2012.

Zenda Farm Preserve Master Plan. Studio Project. Worked for Center For Community Design Research of SUNY-ESF with Thousand Islands Land Trust (TILT). Provided TILT with three Master Plan alternatives for the Zenda Farm Preserve to discuss and consider as a step towards the preparation of a final Master Plan and Management Plan, 01/2011-05/2011.

Night Garden. Undergraduate Final Project. Based on the conclusions from Nightscape Research, Shuangxiu Garden was designed with consideration of people’s five senses. The goal was to make the garden accessible and safe for people to visit at night, 09/2009-06/2010.

Nightscape Research. University Research Program. Mastered the features and requirements of nightscape construction through analysis of current nightscape strategies in Beijing’s gardens, 05/2009-05/2010.
