Experience:
1. Bob’s Discount Furniture, Manchester Ct (Corporate Headquarters) 3/2003 to 2/2011. Hired as commissioned salesperson, promoted to Store Manager. Acted as General Manager in four high volume locations. Duties included, hiring, training, scheduling, banking, accountable for all financial transactions, merchandising, maintaining records of daily business and reporting to regional V.P daily, direct supervision of up to 50 staff members in various positions from office to warehouse. Main focus was all aspects of customer service, via phone, in person, and e-mail to resolve any and all customer questions, concerns, complaints. Left position in New Jersey to move to Colorado to get married.
2. Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company, DBA A&P Super Foodmart, Danbury, Ct. 8/2001 to 5/2003. Hired as cashier, second job, promoted to Front End Supervisor within six months. Duties included direct supervision of up to sixteen active registers, reconciling all registers before and after use, some merchandising, also worked in the deli department, seafood, floral, and acted as customer service rep at the courtesy counter. Closed office at close of business, reconciling all monies acquired for the day, prepared bank deposits. Acted as community liaison, giving store tours and providing activities to groups of visiting children. Main focus at all times was direct customer care.
