During this time, I have performed work with a roofing company as a Project Coordinator. I was the primary administrator for all roofing projects within the company. I was also responsible for surveying and estimating projects and building of all proposals for work to be bid. I have also performed work in Maintenance. For the African Inland Mission Retirement Center, I have helped install windows and doors. I have also done interior painting, aided in home remodels and some maintenance duties. With the state of the economy, I have not been able to secure full time work.
April 1990-Present: Musician: Walt Disney World Resort, Orlando, FL (Part Time, Seasonal)
As an On-Call (seasonal) trumpet player at the Walt Disney World Resort, I have had the opportunity to perform as a member of the Walt Disney World Fanfare Trumpets for many years. I have maintained and exceeded the high standards that Disney requires of its musicians. The Fanfare Trumpet Unit performs its entire repertoire from memory. I have personally been able to memorize and perform multiple parts with the Fanfare Trumpet Unit for well over 500 performances.
Sept. 2005-Jan. 2008: Quality Assurance Supervisor: Advanced Commercial Roofing, Waverly, FL
As a Quality Assurance Supervisor, I was responsible for supervising my staff on my project crew. I was to ensure that all personnel were properly trained in accordance with OSHA and company guidelines. I maintained company presence on all assigned projects. I verified stage of completion for all projects. I achieved 100% safety compliance of all crew members. I was responsible to the company by reporting all information to the branch office regarding scheduling, project completion and inspections. I was able to resolved customer concerns through excellent customer service and a high level of communication with the customers. I was vigilant in monitoring project budgets and ensured that projects were completed within the prescribed budget without sacrificing quality work for well over 100 projects. I was able, through a highly trained crew, to maintain a customer approval rating of 99% throughout my tenure. My additional duties included determining material or tool requirements, computing cost estimates of roofing projects, evaluating roofing quality, inspecting property for cleanliness and adherence to code, maintaining daily logs or records and inspecting facilities or equipment for regulatory compliance.
July 2004-July 2005: Operations Assistant: Warburton Music Products, Oviedo, FL
As an Operations Assistant, I had the privilege of learning all aspects of a Brass Instrument Mouthpiece Manufacturing Company. I worked in conjunction with the General Manager and Sales Manager to oversee the day to day operations. My major responsibilities included overseeing Production of products from raw materials to finished merchandise, managing physical inventory to ensure that all merchandise was continually in stock, providing exceptional customer service in person and via phone conversation, taking orders for merchandise over the phone and through out internet website, processing invoices for all customers and ensuring that payments were properly credited to each specific account. I was also responsible for maintaining proper packaging protocol and working with UPS and FedEx to ensure that shipping & receiving standards were maintained at the highest level of quality
July 2001- March 2004: Director of Bands: Haines City High School, Haines City, FL
As a Director of Bands in a Public High School I was able to provide guidance and instruction to students in all facets of their school career. I encouraged all students to strive for excellence in their lives. I satisfied all Logistical and Administrative tasks to include transportation, physical inventory of instruments, equipment and music, supervision of the student leadership organization and basic clerical needs as directed by the State Bandmasters Association. Additionally, I utilized my military experience to help rebuild a failing band program and ensure that the standards of performance were raised to acceptable standards as regulated by the State of Florida. I was compassionate and gained the trust and respect of the students and parents without resistance. My attention to detail and great perseverance aided me in accomplishing this goal in just over one year.
Feb. 1996- July 2001: Sergeant (E-5), Musician: United States Marine Corps
As a Sergeant, Trumpet Player in the United States Marine Corps I was assigned to various stations as a specialist in Music Performance, Education, Conducting, Leadership and Logistics. I performed with many of the musical ensembles within the program and maintained extraordinary standards of musical knowledge and performance in accordance with Marine Corps Standards. As a Trumpet Section Leader I helped the Marines in my section to maintain the standards set for their specific rank. Through mentoring and tutoring I was able to maintain a 100% pass rate on Quarterly Performance Examinations for all Marines in my section. I also performed duties as Public Relations Liaison between the Marine Corps Band Field and civilian media organizations. I was able to build professional relationships with many civilian organizations through excellent attention to detail. As a Transportation Chief within the band I was responsible for the request and acquisition of government vehicles for use by the band on a daily basis. I was also responsible for observing loading of freight to ensure crew compliance with procedures, maintaining driver logs according to USMC regulations, determining if loaded cargo complied with regulations or specifications, transporting passengers or cargo, using geographic positioning system (GPS) and computerized mapping programs to ensure that the unit was provided with correct direction of the intended destinations and inspecting transportation equipment for damage or defects. At this time I was licensed to drive vehicles up to 60 passenger buses.
March 1988- Feb. 1996: Specialist (E-4), Military Police Officer: United States Army Reserve
As a Military Police Officer I performed duties within a High Level Secured Containment facility (Military Intelligence Facility). This position required the ability to understand and follow security procedures, communicate difficulties and concerns supervisory personnel, authorize entry or exit of proper personnel to the secured facility and maintain the physical security of the facility by monitoring entrance or exit of persons and observing my physical surroundings and reporting all pertinent information to the proper personnel. I served in Operation Desert Shield during this time in which I worked closely with numerous Intelligence units of the United States Army as well as the Army and National Security forces of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Top Secret Security Clearance held from 1989-1996.

Aug. 2008-Present: Worship Leader: Four Corners Baptist Church, Davenport, FL (Part Time, Voluntary)
As a Praise and Worship Leader, I am responsible for growing and maintaining an active Praise and Worship Team. My primary responsibilities include working closely with the Senior Pastor and Associate Pastor in selecting, rehearsing and scheduling all Contemporary Praise Music and Traditional Hymns for weekly worship. The music coincides with the theme and message of the weekly sermon. In this position I have had the great opportunity to lead the congregation in the spiritual Praise and Worship during the morning worship services. I have been entrusted with maintaining a highly qualified group of musicians and vocalists to help communicate the church’s message according to scripture.
