Responsible for leading the IT department at Access Ohio, a community health care center providing health care services across multiple locations. Its staff includes Physicians, Counselors, Nurse practitioners, Case managers, Therapists, etc., (distributed work force) providing services to patients.

Led the implementation of a cloud based electronic medical records (EMR) system that can be accessed across multiple sites depending upon the staff’s security privileges.

Initiated Proof of Concept to add iPad accessibility to the cloud-based EMR workflow.

Initiated the analysis and discovery phase of integrating the finance and billing as part of the cloud-based offering.

J.P. MORGAN CHASE – Columbus, Ohio 2007 – 2008

Vice President – APPLICATIONS; Global Finance Technology

Provided leadership and accountability for the Global Finance Applications. Created the Global Finance Application Organization for GFT. Merged the segmented and fragmented Finapps units in US, EMEA and Asia in to one unified organization with 55% of the functionaries transitioned to offshore (India) enabling the launch of projects on a unified and synergistic basis.

Led the development of an automated order to pay system (XIGN Program) for the US supported by a JPM-XIGN platform which integrated accounts payable, electronic invoicing for vendors, early payment discount management and an enrollment system for the targeted suppliers.

Integrated US Bear Stearns Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable and T&E into JPMC target platforms (SAP, TEEMS), which included the conversion of Fixed Assets for book and tax and the conversion of vendors and invoices and integration of automated invoice feeds into SAP. Archived fixed assets, accounts payable and T&E into archiving/imaging platform (I Vault).

Led the Bear Stearns integration into the existing Oracle System for both AP and T&E processing as well as fixed asset and vendor conversions/reconciliations.

Initiated the APAC Workflow and imaging project, which included the expansion of automated invoice workflow approval integration with the existing Oracle locations and integrated an imaging solution to automate the invoice and T&E processing which will result in operational saves, streamlined processing, and consistency between the international locations.

Launched the Oracle and 170 Systems Upgrade project, which included the change from Oracle Finapps Version 11.5.9 to 11.5.10 (consistent with the APAC environment) and the change from 170 Systems version 4.8 to 6.1 which will result in standardization, consistency and allow hardware and configuration restructuring leading to additional TCO savings.

Piloted the migration of applications from hardware in the Bournemouth Data Center to the Basingstoke Data Center, which included all Oracle applications, additional patch applications, an Operating System Upgrade, a Database Upgrade and a majority of the imaging and self service invoicing components.

Completed the rollout of the JPMC Corporate Card in the EMEA region and the build and implementation of additional LE's in the Milan PB under budget and on schedule with significant operational savings.

NATIONWIDE MUTUAL INSURANCE COMPANY - Columbus, Ohio

Accountable for all information technology systems, software/hardware projects, operations, finance, and resource management. Provided leadership and accountability for more than 180 applications technology operations and related objectives to the highly technical associate resources in the One IT Corporate Application community – 5 direct management reports and 130 technical associates. I was also responsible for the IT help desk with a division manager and ten staff. We managed incident management, problem management and desktop services.

Directed production integration for Nationwide Corporate Financial systems platform (FOCUS, Faster Online Customer Focused User Friendly Streamlined), $100 M project, which included implementation of processes, resources, and application infrastructure between the ongoing new development initiatives and legacy entities.

Directed numerous successful initiatives in 2005-2006 leading directly to operational cost avoidance of approximately $4.5 M on $16 M operating budget.

Sustained leadership in alignment of multiple divisions to ITIL best practice enterprise service management. Technology spanned the following core application platforms: PeopleSoft, Oracle, Hyperion, Informatica, and Windows Server.

Managed twenty five people team including Project leads, Architects, Tech leads, Business Analysts and Java Developers. Along with day-to-day operational support, managed multiple e-business and database projects varying from multimillion complex projects to small web based projects.

Led the Enterprise Application Architecture project, which defined the target architecture for Nationwide Financial and established processes for the organization to move toward that goal. Supervised the architecture team to develop architecture definition and design. The multi-tier architecture was based on the layers and MVC architecture pattern. The strategy of this effort was to develop a base-architecture that would allow seamless integration with the legacy applications and support diverse set of clients including web, voice and wireless.

Oversaw the CGI RE-Write Project including 15 resources within multiple business areas, as well as coordinated activities with several central service companies, to completely rewrite a large number of C++ based CGI programs into Java based app logic. As a result, performance and scalability improved considerably in the new Internet hardware/software infrastructure.

Managed a successful, company-wide upgrade of web server and application server software to iPlanet, including the planning, budgeting and management of internal and external resources to complete the implementation.

Supervised a performance improvement project that established the measuring benchmarks and provided monitoring, and reporting of application performance on an ongoing periodic basis. This project reduced the program errors from 3658 to 85. This showed a progress of 97.5% error reduction. System response time average of 5 seconds was reduced to less than 2 seconds.
