Duties: HRMC is a facility working with approximately 60 men who come to us bound with life controlling addictions, attitudes, and behavioral problems. Many come on their own seeking help, some are court ordered. My responsibilities include counseling, teaching in large and small group situations, banking for all the men, setting appointments (medical, dental, etc), transporting, and or arranging transportation, creating a monthly calendar of events-appointments-etc., various record keeping systems/spread sheets (computer: MS Excel, MS Works, Internet research, etc), UA testing, rule enforcement, fee collection, etc. I also began a video, tape, and book library for the men through seeking donations of materials.

Duties: This job involved connecting various types of equipment to the patient, including electrodes on the head to measure brain waves, as well as other equipment to measure: breathing, limb movements, eye movements, muscle tension and more. All information from these connections is sent to a computer in which I evaluated the data and monitor the patient for the possibility he/she is suffering from sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, periodic limb movements, or any other sleep disorder. I was also trained to score these studies for the final evaluation of the physician.

Duties: As a Special Procedures Technician, I performed electrocardiograms, signal average EKGs, electroencephalograms, and holter monitors by preparation, application, hook up and disconnection of electrodes to the patient. This project addresses issues which help prevent and reduce the public's exposure to water pollution and solid wastes due to water inflow overtaxing the City's sewage system. Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other agency personnel, government entities, relevant community agencies, public officials, funding sources, and other vendors. Duties: As a Service Coordinator I was responsible for planning and coordinating outreach services in the Adair County area (i.e. Back to School Fair). I worked to help low-income individuals and families break the cycle of poverty through intensive case management and various trainings. Accurate records, reports and computer data entry were required for these services as well as for our energy assistance program. I worked with many other agencies to help foster a community effort at resolving problems and providing services. I supervised a staff of 3 to 10 people as well as the maintenance of agency property.

KING'S KIDS CHILDREN'S HOME (Oaxaca, Mexico)

Position & Title: Administrator and Director

Duties: My wife children and I moved to southern (old) Mexico to pioneer this children's home. We adapted to this very different culture and were responsible to provide for, tutor, and care for 14 children, ages 5 to 14 years old. They lived in our home with us, in a family style setting.

Many of the children came from very difficult circumstances. Many had very poor self-esteem, school grades, hygiene, etc. God used us to help change these precious children and to provide a stable environment. We saw great improvement in their lives. This required cross cultural adaptability, much patience, much love, fluency in Spanish, Bible, and knowledge of it. We have also driven and traveled extensively. I have driven over much of Mexico and parts of Guatemala.

PERSONAL SKETCH:

I was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma where I lived most of my school years. I attended Twin Cities Elementary in Sand Springs. While there, my favorite classes were art and science. I received the American Legion Award in the sixth grade. After elementary, came Central Junior High, in Sand Springs, where I was active in wrestling in my early years. My favorite courses were wood shop and science. Then came Charles Page High School, also located in Sand Springs. My favorite courses were carpentry and commercial art. I graduated in 1978. In 1980 I moved to Springfield, Missouri to attend Central Bible College. I attended until May 1983. This is where I met my wife.

We married in January 1982. We have been blessed with four wonderful children: Crystal (age 26) , Lisa (age 24), Jeremiah (age 21) and J. Isaac (age 13). My wife and I as well as our son J. Isaac now reside in Calico Rock, Arkansas. We moved here to be close to my parents who retired nearby. We felt the need to be close to them in their senior years. Recently my parents moved back to Oklahoma to be closer to my Dad's cardiologist and my sisters who live there. We are currently preparing to move to Nicaragua as missionaries in several months. This is why I am seeking temporary employment.
