Job Responsibilities:

1Inspection of material received as per Isometric for fabrication.

2Inspection of welding activities including Fit up and weld preparation.

3Review of WPS for various materials and size as per requirements.

4Witnessing of welders and Procedure Qualification Test, preparation of Test Piece and

verifying compliance with appropriate standards and specifications.

5Control of welding consumables by issuance and verification that welders are using

correct welding consumables (Welding rods, filler metals).

6Interaction with production, quality control and Safety.

7Data collection and Reporting on Quality statistics.

8Performing inspection for piping material storage & handling for visible damages. For

conformity to specification (size, scheduling, rating, marking, color code requirements)

mill certificates, packing list material identification and traceability according to

material types (pipe, elbow tee, reducer, weld-o-let, Nipple, etc).

9Strict follow-up of the implementation of approved ITP.

10Assist in preparing Quality Procedures and Test Packages.

11Prepare weld mapping of isometric drawings and dimension check of completed spools.

12Reviewing piping isometrics drawing and details. Check all weld sizes, profile and

locations.

13Verify heat number, inspection during fabrication and erection such as pipe cut length,

edge preparation, fit-up, branch connections, flanged joints, valve connections, bending

and forming, hot adjustment, bolt, nuts, washer, gasket and tolerances cleaning

requirements.

14Check, installed piping components as per piping and instrument diagrams (P&ID).

15Coordinate all NDE and PMI activities with third party Contractors.

16Maintain and archive all documentation related to quality.

17Maintain documentation and Traceability of the material.

18Make sure that activities should be done in accordance with standard codes of practice,

drawings, applicable job specifications, Quality control procedures (QCP), and

Inspection and Test plan (ITP) at the job site.

19Inspection of Structural supports as per Isometric Drawings.

20Clearing of punch list and inspection release note.

21Preparation and Client Approval of Hydro test Packages.

22Witnessing of Hydro test of Piping, Valves as required along with the client Inspector.

23Co-ordinate with construction, Testing group and QC department in the preparation of

the requirements of each test pack. Hydro testing and facilitate close out of any

outstanding punch items before and after Hydro test.
