9/2004-1/2010- Prime Source /OPC-(ISO Certified) Charlotte, NC.- Production Manager- In charge of daily operations of the production floor including the Flexographic presses, Digital Printing, Finishing, Inspection and Pre-Press department. Supervised 15 employees and responsible for maintaining a positive work environment and providing knowledge and experience to help the team be more efficient and produce the highest quality product and maintain Process Control by following SOP(standard operating procedures) and documentation during setup. Responsible for daily scheduling of production and overseeing that ship dates was met in a timely manner. Maintain inventory control and collect data for month end inventory.
Operated 6-8 color flexographic presses if needed to maintain schedule or cover for an operator. Worked in sales and tech service for a short period (1 yr.) before plant closed and merged with another company.
6/2004-9/2004-MPI Label Systems- Operated a Webtron 8 color flexographic press. Responsible for set up and maintaining good product of the highest quality throughout run from roll to roll or roll to sheet applications.
7/2003-6/2004-CCL Label-Operated a 10 color Nilpeter press. Set up offset, flexo, hot foil stamp and dual webs with Martin Butt splicer’s to run Bopp material and films to marry together to create a high quality label for Proctor and Gamble, Johnson and Johnson. Printed pharmaceutical labels such as drug facts and other type of film applications.
7/2002-6/2003 –FTS –Instructor- Responsible for cross training of students in flexographic printing. Set up 8 color Mark Andy flexo press. Train students how to make flexographic printing plates. Trained students how to operate Arpeco Tracker Inspection rewinder and set up Martin Butt splicer, maintain anilox’s and proper cleaning and storage. Performed R&D with vendors testing there products. Trained in inks, foils, substrates, plates, adhesives, embossing, cold foil stamping and other applications.
Trained employees how to set up and operate Mark Andy presses on site at different plant locations in the United States and other countries.
FTS- Program Director- Responsible for daily operations of school and developing curriculum for students, setting up new vendors, seminars for company’s and job placement for trained students.
7/2000-6/2002-Subtle Impressions-Press Operator on an 8 color Roto Press with UV and 3 die stations 2 waste rewinds delam- relam unit, hot foil stamping, sheeter table, B-Bunch fanfolder, RD Scorer. Produced high quality paint can applications and coupon applications.
1/1999-6/2000-Prime Source Inc.-Operated a 6 color flexo press producing high quality instruction applications for companies such as John Deere and Homelite.
2/1998-1/1999- Avery Dennison (Battery and Stamp Div.)- Operated a Comco Proglide multi functional press with 2 unwinds and splicer for 4 webs converting to produce the Duracell Tester Battery application. Set up ARC(automatic register control) on press to maintain web register for print and die cut. Utilized the Acuity system to keep all components within tolerance throughout run.
3/1994-12/1997-Jordan Graphics-Operated Mark Andy 6 color and Webtron 1000 8 color flexo presses.
5/1986-2/1994-Southern Specialty Printing- Operated a Witt 3 color offset press and a 5 color young tag press.
