Legal Aid Society. Support services for two attorneys assigned to the Hillsboro office of the Western Ohio Legal Services Association. My duties include preparation of correspondence, legal document and other documents, transcription from dictating equipment and notes, composition and completion of routine letters, forms, memo, and legal documents with proficiency in spelling, punctuation, and grammar, compile files for members of the legal staff in Hillsboro, assist clients i.e., guide clients through screening process, direct communications with client during services, and providing help under the direction of an attorney or paralegal. I also assist with on-the-job training for new staff and temporary help, delivery and pickup mail, documents or other materials to or at locations outside the office, and assist at depositions, meetings, and other office functions as needed. For administration my duties include taking responsibility for the administrative functions in the Hillsboro office, assure supplies are on hand, alert proper individuals of an malfunctioning equipment or furniture, communication with the landlord on minor building issues, distribute mail and daily communications with members of my office. WOLSA dissolved in 2004 and the area we served is now being covered by Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati.
