W O R K H I S T O R Y

Putnam RF Components / Test specialist 7/08 – 8/09

Supervise Test department ensuring product gets to customers in a timely manner. Process customer returns by performing failure analysis then repair, re-tune /upgrade as required to return to service in “as new” condition. Prepare and update Bills Of Material using MRP software Vista. Prepare and execute ECN's using Solidworks, Autocad, Vista and Microsoft Excel. Fully document prototype devices to include Bills of Material, process / assembly instructions and drawing packages per ISO and MIL standards. Assemble prototype units using hand tools, electric tools and soldering irons. Fabricated various coax cables and coax cable assemblies per in house prints. Obtained soldering certificate per IPC J-STD-001D. Obtained Security clearance to work on military / government products.

Assist Senior engineers in the design of high power Waveguide Circulators, Isolators and Terminations including design devices using AutoCAD and Solidworks, testing/debugging prototype units, and preparing process sheets to aid manufacturing at the production level. Assist Manufacturing with production by tuning / troubleshooting devices Using HP Network Analyzers 8753D and 8510C. Prepare and execute ECO's as needed using AutoCad, Solidworks and Word based programs. Responsible for checking prints of Drafters for completeness with respect to proper dimensioning, tolerances and, conformance to customer requests, ISO standards and MIL specs. Obtained Security clearance to work on military / government products.

Herley Industries (Formerly Robinson Laboratories) / Rf Technician 1/01 -11/01

Test and tune various microwave switches under a microscope for military and commercial applications up to 18Ghz.Troubleshoot DC drivers to component level for proper operation and current specifications. Tuned Rf section for VSWR, loss and phase balance to customer specifications using HP Network Analyzer 8720. Checked switching speed using HP sweep generator and Tektronix digital oscilloscope. Obtained Security clearance to work on military / government products.

Putnam RF Components / Rf Technician 1/98 - 1/01

Building and testing high power broadband Couplers and Combiners to meet customer specifications. Fabricate parts from raw copper and aluminum using milling machines, lathes and drill presses per in house AutoCad drawings. Made prototype and production circuit boards using Board Master prototype machine. Assemble completely couplers and combiners per schematics and verbal instruction. Soldered components to boards using low temp and high temp solders depending on power requirements. Test units for RF specs for VSWR, loss, isolation, phase balance, coupling and directivity on Hewlett Packard Network Analyzers and tuned units to customer’s specifications. Set up products for final power test, applying 500-5000W.

Teradyne Connector Division / Maintenance Technician 5/98-11/98

Perform maintenance on and repair Semi-Automated machines used in the production of High Density Connectors. Work with Engineers to modify production equipment and create a maintenance schedule to minimize down time. Trained machine operators in the proper use of automated equipment to minimize product loss.
