• Part development.

• Vendor identification, development and regular follow up.

• Negotiation with supplier regarding Price, Quality & Delivery.

• Material procurement & Price Monitoring.

• Purchase Order Release / SAP Activities.

• Planning of the materials as per plant requirement & forecast.

• Purchase planning based on customer requirement.

• Follow-up the vendors day to day supplied process materials.

• Coordinating to Vendor development though periodical audits.

• Consumable cost reduction through Alternate sources.

• Should Organize the Sourcing Committee and Pre Sourcing Committee.

MY ROLE & RESPONCIBILITIES:

• Preparing monthly schedules based on PPC requirements and sending it to supplier.

• Close monitoring of supplies against specific schedules and ensuring timely quality supply.

• Supplier evaluation and audit as per the ISO & TS standards.

• Vendor rating and Inventory monitoring.

• Procurement of Materials at Right Time, Right Cost as a Right Product continuously.

• Cost estimation and price negotiation with machining vendors.

• To interact with suppliers regarding quality issue and get the corrective& preventive action.

• Should Update all our day to day activities in VALEO’s Purchasing Management Site.

• Follow-up the vendors day to day supplied process materials.

• Co-ordinate with PPC (Production Plan Control) Department to achieve production 100%.

• Co-ordinate with Quality Department to achieve Quality 100 PPM.

• Cost working for newly developing component and releasing Purchase Order.

• Existing component re-cost working if raw material cost increase or decrease.

• Auditing the vendor for raw material availability, and process checking.

• Achieve the production target on daily basis as per the customer requirement.

• Suggestions given to increase the productivity at supplier end to avoid our production line stoppages, due to this part cost negotiated & achieved.

• Planning for new developments based on the requirement from Engineering and R&D.

• Preparing RFQ to suppliers, getting quote, involved in cost negotiation and finalization.

• Purchase of capital goods, spares for utilities and capital items, raw materials and consumables for production.

• Conducting supplier’s audits on a regular basis to measure supplier performance against Contractual standards and implement necessary corrective actions.

• Monitoring the results and presenting them to the Materials Steering Committee, either directly or by the intermediary of his / her Site Manager, particularly in multi-site Divisions.

• Should think more in Technical wise to achieve cost reduction in materials point of view.

• Should organize the Material Steering Committee to manage all the Material productivity actions concerning volume production products.

ACHIEVEMENTS:

• Achieved 15% of the Cost Reduction for the year 2011-2012 in P0 Project.

• Achieved 8% cost reduction in change of Material through the Material Steering Committee.

• 10-15% overall cost reduction for all the materials in Indirect Purchase for every month.

• Obtained “A” grade in the Appraisal Interview conducted by Purchase Manager & GM.
