I have had a full and varied career in manufacturing. The last nine years were spent in the EHS department where I was responsible for Title V Air Permit administration, Hazardous Waste processing and reporting, Industrial Waste Water Discharge Permit administration, Storm Water Administration, Oil Spill Prevention Plan, Contingency Plan, Emergency Response Plan, Biennial Reports, SARA 311, 312, 313 reports, OSHA Auditor, First Responder, First Aid, Lean Manufacturing Team Leader (2), Supervisor, Trainer, & Auditor.

While employed at TEXTON Automotive/Collins & Aikman, I received training in Value Stream Mapping used by TOYOTA which focuses on reducing waste in processes, 5 S training (work place organization), JIT (Just In Time) inventory control. I was also Project Manager for the MAXIM MRP system. As a Buyer, I was responsible for vendor relations, establishing and administering contracts, placing orders and managing production schedules for molding tools ($1M+).

I received training from Kepner Tregoe as a team building trainer and process change trainer and participated in training all plant personnel. I was also a team leader on two Cost Reduction Teams, one team reduced costs by $200,000 (paint warehousing and inventory control), the other by $1,000,000 (MEK reclaim). Both teams used Value Stream Mapping from Lean manufacturing which can be used in any process.

My education includes both a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Governors State University, Park Forest South, IL and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Georgia Southwestern University, Americus, GA .

My management experience is extensive. I work well with others. I believe in building up people and empowering them. I focus on issues and results. My strengths are in organizational skills, training, employee motivation and team building.

2011/2009 Castongia Consulting, LLC – Maintaining records and sampling to support the CNMP for Powell Dairy as well as employing various management tools to assist in the management of the farm and dairy. I also work with other dairies in meeting the requirements for CNMP compliance.
