Goals and Aspirations - To work in an environment that is challenging, motivating and successful. My greatest characteristic is my personality and willingness to deal with people and the satisfaction from making them feel comfortable with me and the institution/business I represent. I am relatively a quick learner open minded to new ideas and adapt to change well. I am a competitive person who likes to succeed at whatever job or project that I am working on.

I was born and raised in the Oakley community, grew up on a farm south of Oakley that consisted of a Grade A dairy, farming and ranching. Work was no stranger and I gained knowledge, character and work ethic from this family farm background.

I currently have made my home in Colby and would love the opportunity to work and live in the same town and become more of a part of this community that I really enjoy. I have been a part of northwest Kansas all my life, and can not imagine living any where else.

August 2010 – Current - Oakley Motors, Inc. I work in the Sales department and duties of a General Manager. Work closely with General Motors on a daily basis managing sales, inventory, incentives and provide financing options for future customers. Keeping current on Compliance updates with GM and also the Financial Institutions. Providing excellent and professional customer service has been very beneficial for me, as a Woman Vehicle Sales Consultant, I knew I had to step up and learn not only the business side but also the mechanics of what I was selling/representing. I have been very successful here at OMI. I totally respect and enjoy the people and company that I work for. This job has been a huge learning experience with the operations of a small business and a large corporation being General Motors. The only reason for change is my desire to work and live in the same community and be an important part of the community.

July 2004 – August 2010 – Peoples State Bank at Oakley. Started the new Branch in Oakley in December of 2004. I served as Vice President with experience in Consumer Lending including Real Estate Mortgage Lending serviced at our bank and also secondary market lending, Commercial Loans including Agricultural and Small Business Administration. Was responsible from the beginning of the approval process to preparing all documentation and closing. I also did investments such as C.D.’s and I.R.A.’s, opening of new accounts. Skilled with Teller responsibilities and regulations and proof work.

Worked in about every area of the branch, which gave me general knowledge of the duties expected in operating a small branch. The experience of learning all aspects I believe is a strong benefit.

January 1985 – July 2004 – Farmers State Bank of Oakley. I began in the bookkeeping area, transferred to teller position than loan area and became a loan officer. I did mostly consumer loans and some real estate lending. Began my experience with Small Business Association with the 7A and 504 Programs. Also was in charge of the advertising and marketing of Farmers State Bank. When I resigned my position at Farmers State Bank was only to take advantage of an opportunity to open a new branch in Oakley and to grow as an individual.

Education and Organizations – Graduated from Oakley High School, attended Dodge City Community College for one year on basketball scholarship, transferred to Fort Hays State University where I graduated with my Associates Degree in Business Administration. Attended Graduate School of Banking in Boulder Colorado. Have attended several banking schools in the past in regards to lending, investments, operations. Graduated from Principals of Lending in Manhattan, KS. Taken numerous online classes to gain knowledge. Very familiar with computers and programs as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, spreadsheets and formulas. Familiar with bank software such as Bankers Systems, Loan Processor, GulfPak and Compliance One. Completed all General Motors Sales Consultant certifications with Top Honors. Was a four year member of the Oakley Area Chamber of Commerce. Served as Vice President of the Parish Council and Education Organizer for over 8 years. Member of Financial Women International while employed at Farmers State Bank.

Personal Interest: Enjoy spending time with my children and family. My daughter just graduated from FHSU with her Masters Degree and is a Visual Merchandiser for a Major Clothing Company. My son is a junior at FHSU, on the Men’s Basketball team and a Pre-Chiropractic Major. I love walking, gardening all types of sports, am a huge dog lover. Also enjoying re-furbishing and decorating and creating new craft projects.

I really love to be around people and get great satisfaction from making them feel comfortable in the product or service that I represent.
