06 - Present Global Director of Quality Systems International Flavors & Fragrances
New York, NY
• Built training, testing and certification process for Six Sigma Green/Blackbelts in conjunction with Motorola University. Program consisted of two Manuals, 1 week of class, four part testing plan and project scoring system. Certification ceremonies and plaques sanctioned by Motorola concluded the program. Concept was to certify 70 students in two years and in actuality delivered 90 certified students in less than 2 years.
• Personally delivered 3 Blackbelt Projects valued at over $5 MM hard benefit dollars. 1st project reduced cycle time on customer deliveries from 13 days to 8.25 days (36% reduction) saving $2.1 MM in cost. 2nd project validated the precision of machinery leading to $1.7 MM reduction in planned capital expenditures. 3rd project in-housed the 6-Sigma certification process saving $1.5 MM/year by reducing total cost per belt.
• Mentored 5 BB and 20 GB projects personally with an annual savings in excess of $10 MM a year.
02-06 Director of Quality Systems/Standards International Flavors & Fragrances

• Trained 1,000+ employees in quality basics and statistical process control across 20 locations in 10 countries on 5 continents. Developed an Advanced Quality Engineering Course which was delivered to 200 employees. This initiative saved $3 MM over 4 years by reducing travel & external consulting fees.
• Developed and delivered a quality system that enabled 15 locations to gain ISO 9001 for manufacturing operations and 17025 laboratory certifications. The Quality System achieved ISO, AIB, GMA-SAFE, and FDA certifications enabling IFF to do business with world class customers like Pepsi-Co, Proctor and Gamble. The quality system also reduced the tolerance limits on 6 Mission Critical Instruments from 3σ to 1σ in all 30 plant locations.
98-02 President/Owner Statistical Ciphering Inc. (SCI)
Pittsburgh, PA
• Utilizing a proprietary data mining systems/process helped facilitated a savings across 4 plants in the oriented strand board business. This analysis lead to a decision not to invest $200 MM capital in an additional plant due to approximately 25% underutilization at each of the four existing facilities.
• Marketed, sold, & lead and participated on $5 MM of consulting services (software and consulting services) over 4 years to over 10 major metal and cement manufacturers in the US.
91-98 Manager Statistical Management Systems Halliburton Corporation
Pittsburgh, PA
• Developed and delivered a Total Quality Management (TQM) system to 10 plants in the US and Canada. The TQM systems lead to ISO 9000 certification which enabled ~$5 MM of savings over 2 years.
• Through creation of a proprietary customer information mining tool helped mitigated $5 MM of potential liability

• P&L owner for a 200 employee refractory manufacturing plant responsible for $5 MM top line revenue.
• Implemented 1st ever Continuous Improvement Program at plant leading to corporate initiative on quality.

Multiple Locations: Clearfield, PA Vandalia, MO Hammond, IN
• Responsibility for manufacturing operations ranging from 100 to 600 employees & $1-10 MM Sales.
• Developed 1st safety & maintenance processes for plant specific mechanical and hydraulic presses.
• Co-leader on team that shutdown and restarted a failing plant operation in the Chicago Steel Belt that lead to the single largest Capital Project in company history and successful turn around of plant operations.
