Responsibility:
Day to day breakdown maintenance activities, anticipating future uncertainties and planning spare parts for the machines of Cylinder Block Business Unit. These include 60+ machines from HMT, MBD TATA MOTORS, BFW, PRAGA, and CLEAN ENERGY SYSTEMS – for cylinder block washing and GEHRING – for Honing operation of cylinder bore.
Planned Maintenance includes both Time Based Activities and Condition Based Activities and exploring possibilities of automation and technology updating.
Training team members in performing Autonomous Maintenance activities, which is carried out Plant wide according to TPM Policy lay out by top management.
Identification and elimination of unsafe activities raised by team members during weekly team meetings as per Team Based Work System of Cummins (TBWS).
Documentation of improvements and analysis of breakdowns as per COS (Cummins Operating System) norms.
Analyzing daily losses due to m/c breakdown, conveyor breakdown, tooling issues etc and corrected accordingly by coordinating concern people & ensure implements of improvements like kaizens, pokayoka etc to improve MTTR & MTBF.
Analyzing daily consumption (hydraulic oil, power & spares) and planning and executing PM activities improvement activities to ensure lower consumption.
