A new temporary ambulance entrance and change over was constructed. Logistics were very critical for this campus.

A logistics CD was made and distributed by the CEO to all 7,000 employees. Scheduled completion is in 2008. $120 Million

Responsible for the day to day management and operation of this $76 Million expansion, which includes a new 37,000 square feet, state-of-the-art Emergency Department that is triple the size of the department it replaced, and has been described as the most extensive and innovative medical facility in South Florida. The overall project was completed in the spring of 2004; in addition to the new emergency department, the planned expansion includes 37 additional beds, 36 additional intensive care beds and 57 additional private rooms. This project has been recognized by the State of Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA), as well as by their client HCA, for bringing to fruition South Florida’s most extensive and patient friendly emergency facility, with an unprecedented work plan, which was maintained ahead of schedule, within budget and has surpassed 1,000,000 man hours – with no lost time accidents. Project is recipient of the South Florida Business Journal’s ‘2003 Facilities Growth & Expansion Excellence in Healthcare Award’.
