Middle East (QATAR) Carbonate experience from Nov. 2008 to present: Development Geophysicist with Offshore team (Studies group) at Field Development Department at Qatar Petroleum

Working with Geologists, Petrophysicists and Reservoir Engineers, I have performed 2D/3D Offshore surface and borehole seismic interpretation using Petrel Software covering a mature fields and exploration areas such as Bul Hanine , Maydam Mahzam and Bloc BC, build 3D velocity model (regional and covering only a mature field) for time to depth conversion,

QC the reprocessing results of Bul Hanine and Maydam Mahzam 2D/3D seismic data, horizons and faults seismic interpretation attributes analysis for appraisal and development well proposals.

Build 3D velocity model (regional and covering only a mature field) for time to depth conversion.

Design, QC the acquisition and processing results the first 3D Walk around VSP data Offshore Qatar performed to demonstrate the added value on seismic resolution for applying new technologies to acquire a new 3D seismic survey and interpret the final data for fracture detection around the well.

QC the final fractures data from the seismic with FMI and well tests data interpretation in order to calibrate the final production model.

Organize seismic acquisition, processing and reprocessing workshops with IOCs.

Participate and represent the company during the international technical events (IPTC-2009 in Doha and EAGE-2011 in Istanbul).

North Africa (ALGERIA) Clastic experience from August 1996 to Nov. 2008: Senior Geophysicist with PED (Petroleum Engineering and development Sonatrach).

From 2005 to 2008, I was running two big 3D seismic projects from the acquisition, processing and the interpretation with PED (Petroleum Engineering and development Sonatrach).

Working in close co-operation with geologists, reservoir and drilling engineers by performing:

Evaluation of geological and geophysical data.

Provision of seismic interpretation as input for static and dynamic modelling studies.

Propose additional work; reprocessing (preserved amplitudes, inversion…), new 3D seismic acquisition, quality control of the design.

Preparation of the International Technical Tenders (3D seismic acquisition and processing).

Evaluation of the ITT and the offers.

This is achieved on the following projects:

HBK 3D project : 3D seismic high resolution (Fold 120) covering 1551 km Oil fields (South of Algeria) , processing supervision with WesternGeco in Gatwick (UK).

HRM 3D project: This is the biggest 3D seismic high resolution (Fold 144) in Algeria, located in Hassi R’mel and covering 4500 km Gas field. Processing supervision with CGGVeritas in Paris (France).

Gassi Touil Project. 2D/3D seismic Interpretation (Onshore on Oued Mya Bassin. Algeria) on Geoframe and structural model on Petrel.
