Systems/Structures Engineer (767/777)

• Reviewed OEM Service Bulletins and then provided proper maintenance tasks for effected aircraft.

• Reviewed Airworthiness Directives (AD) and then provided the appropriate instructions to satisfy Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations.

• Generated Engineering Change Orders (ECO) that provided maintenance costs and modification tasks associated with the accomplishment of corresponding Service Bulletins.

• Generated and released software Interface Control Documents (ICD) to ensure proper signal processing on the IEEE 1394 Databus and to ensure proper systems integration throughout the aircraft.

• Designed a Flight Test Display to be used during Ground Test and Flight Test to monitor signal processing.

• Created a Flight Certification Document to be used during lab testing to certify the aircraft is flight ready.

• Worked with the lab personnel to resolve major issues to ensure the IEEE 1394 passes lab testing and integrated into the aircraft successfully.

• Developed a test plan and procedure for the IEEE 1394 Continuity Test to be used at the supplier to ensure continuity is established for each fuselage segment of the aircraft.

• Worked in the Integrated Product Team (IPT) which required me to manage the color moving map project that included review of data submittals, project and testing scheduling, vendor/supplier correspondence, documentation updates, communicate with other IPTs to resolve anomalies, and reviewed vendor proposal to find cost cutting measures.

• Delivered inputs to generate a Statement of Work, and a Prime Item Performance Specification (PIPS) for the completion of the Request for Proposal that resulted in an approved proposal from the supplier for the Color Moving Map (CMM) subsystem on an F- 16 program.

• Provided assistance in the Preliminary Design Review and Critical Design Review milestones for the CMM subsystem that uncovered the identification of anomalies and produced closure of open action items to successfully complete these milestones.

• Generated a software acquisition management plan (SAMP) to ensure proper acquisition processes were followed which are set forth in the Lockheed Martin software acquisition requirements document.

• Generated a Hardware Interface Control Document (ICD) to ensure proper integration with other F-16 subsystems.

• Generated a Engineering Source Data and Requirements (ESDR) document to describe the subsystem for the desired installation into the aircraft.

• Presented CMM PIPS changes to the Change Board and received approval to meet Configuration Management requirements.

Electronic Engineer Associate (F-16) Helmet Mounted Display (HMD) 2001 – 2003

• Worked in the Integrated Product Team (IPT) which required me to manage the display project that included review of data submittals, project and testing scheduling, vendor/supplier correspondence, documentation updates, witness testing, communicate with other IPTs to resolve anomalies, and worked with the US Government to ensure all compliance requirements are met.

• Evaluated hardware and electrical drawings of Israeli Helmet Mounted Display (HMD) subsystem to ensure correct design requirements.

• Maintained communication between Lockheed Martin specialty engineering and U.S. Government on all safety issues for the Israeli HMD subsystem that resulted in an approved safety of flight certification.

• Provided assistance in the Ejection Tower and Windblast testing phase of the Israeli HMD subsystem, which revealed anomalies that were corrected via an enhancement of the quality assurance process.

• Witness Tests at supplier to ensure system complies with the SOW and ICD. Reviewed and updated Test Plans, Procedures, and MIL STDs to be used during the test phase of the project. Tests include Environmental Stress Screening, Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), Salt Fog, Vibration, Thermal and, HALT.

• Created Flight Cards to be used by the Test Pilots during Flight Tests.

• Worked with Configuration Management in conducting Functional Configuration Audit (FCA)/ Physical Configuration Audit (PCA) phase of the HMD program to ensure product meets all customer functional and regulatory requirements. Directed supplier in the completion of the FCA/PCA open action items.

• Presented HMD PIPS changes to the Change Board and received approval to meet Configuration Management requirements.
