MarinoWare Inc- Houston, Texas
MarinoWare is a Industry Leader in cold formed framing Products for Commercial and Residential Construction. Then Company is a consolidation of ASSI Tolling Services, Marino Ware Framing Products and Norbet Trucking.
General Manager- MarinoWare April 2012- August 2012
Responsible for Operations of three business units in the Pasadena Texas Facility. Our Facility Services the Texas and Southwestern US Market for Marino Ware Steel Framing Products. These products are roll formed Steel Framing and Accessories for Commercial and Residential Building Construction. Our ASSI Unit (American Strip Steel) services the same area with Coil Steel Processing Services. Norbet Trucking is a Company owned Freight Service serving our products as well as long and short haul service for the US. My function is to oversee all Operations and P&L of these three Units. Our Annual Volumes are 38 million pounds of Framing Products and 175 million pounds of processed Steel Coils.
o Responsible for Change Management in a struggling Facility that was not turning a profit.
o Reorganized Management Team and developed Team Building.
o Basically started from ground up with Policy’s and compliance issues.
o Worked with Sales Force and Production team to increase our ASSI Unit to a two shift Operation and our Marino Unit to a volume increase of 33% in 2 months to get us profitable.
o Set Long range plans for increased Business Opportunities with our newly earned Customer Base.

A division of Thomas & Betts which is a $2.1 billion publicly traded company and leading global manufacturer and supplier of Electrical Products for the Commercial and Private industry. Our Division manufactured Steel Transmission Towers.
Plant Manager- Thomas & Betts December 2003-Sept 2011
Responsible for all production and support functions including overall profitability, efficiency, cost management, quality, safety, environmental compliance, customer satisfaction, organizational design, work system improvement, and workplace culture development of the facility. Responsible for $77 million plant P&L, financial and capital planning, control of costs to achieve profit objectives, establishment of plan staffing requirements, inventory control and plant purchasing. Also responsible for implementing a positive labor relations climate and compliance and the establishment of location policies and procedures in conformance with corporate strategy and objectives.
o Our Management team achieved a Sales growth of 58% and a GM growth of 25% by increasing Plant Capacity through minimal Capital Expansions and only a 17% increase in Labor from 2003-2011.
o Heavy Focus on inventory Control and had the best turn in the Division with an average of 10 each year.
o Maintained the best quality in the Division with the lowest annual cost of sale of .01%
o Developed several Industry leading Production methods through Automation.
o Maintained the best on-time delivery in the Division averaging 90% yearly.
o Our Plant received several Plant of the Year and Safety Plant of the year awards under our leadership.

Managed and coordinated all plant activities including manufacturing engineering, maintenance, warehousing, and production operations in day-to-day activities to provide ongoing guidance to direct reports in leadership of their teams. Plays a critical role in the turnaround management and strategy for the $77 million sales facility. Responsible for cost reduction, quality, and on-time delivery of products.
o Developed plans for several different Capitol Projects to increase our capacity year to year to keep up with demand.
o Reorganized production operations increasing Productivity by 15% an Efficiency by 20%.
o Promoted a cultural shift in employee moral throughout the entire operation by employee involvement and safety awareness programs and communications.

Started with this Company while in College and held many positions from Machine Operator, Supervisor, Scheduler, Production Manager and after graduating was Promoted to Plant Manger. As Plant Manager I lead our team to increasing our Sales Revenue by 33% and or GM by 40%. As Production Manager I was instrumental in changing our Production Lines and Methods by introducing 5S strategies as well as some Lean Methods to our Parts and Welding Departments.
