WORK EXPERIENCE:

Laundry Supervisor/Patient Care Assistant - Halifax Hospital, Daytona Beach FL.

• Supervise and participate in the sorting, washing and drying, flat iron, pressing, folding, fabricating and mending of a variety of linens and garments ensuring smooth work flow and high quality laundering operations.

• Supervised the intake of linen and garment requisitions from various departments within the hospital facilities.

• Transported cart of washed linen to dryers and place in dryers according to load size. Set dryers to designated times and temperatures for the particular articles to be dried.

• Removed lint and debris from dryer filters and change filters. Transported trash containers to dumpster; empty and clean accordingly. Adhere to recycling procedures. Breakdown and clean work areas/equipment. Used designated chemicals, supplies and equipment to clean laundry room floor.
