Corporate Manufacturing

Sikorsky Aircraft, Stratford, CT 1978 - 2003

• Industrial Engineering: Time and Motion study of the Blackhawk helicopter assembly process from manufacturing

inception to completion in the hangar. 12 years spent on final assembly line in paint shop/hangar evaluating problems

in the manufacturing cycle as well as recommending changes and implementing strategies to streamline the process

flow.

• Division Planning: Division planner responsible for the integration of cooperating departments for the completion of

the Special Operation Blackhawk helicopter . Spent 5 years on a black project to manufacture 24 specially equipped

helicopters for the US army to be used exclusively for covert operations.

• Production Control: Responsible for the ordering and supply of parts in the supply chain process in manufacturing of

helicopter. Representative on both the material review board, whose purpose was to decide if parts were qualified for

use on aircraft. Representative of the change board to approve of the next generation of parts to be used in the aircraft.

• Flight Safety Engineering: Responsible for the evaluation/planning of manufacturing process to restore components

from battle damaged aircraft to original condition. Planned manufacturing operation sheets, derived from design

blueprints and transposed to planning for work orders.
