Project Description MME – Mobility Management Entity is the key control-node for the LTE access-network. It is responsible for idle mode UE (User Equipment) tracking and paging procedure including retransmissions. It is involved in the bearer activation/deactivation process and is also responsible for choosing the SGW for a UE at the initial attach and at time of intra-LTE handover involving Core Network (CN) node relocation. MME provides control plane function for mobility between LTE and 2G/3G access networks with the S3 interface terminating at the MME from the SGSN. The MME also terminates the S6a interface towards the home HSS for roaming UEs.

Project Description UMTS system has been designed in order to provide a full system, which can either transport voice or data, with rates going up to 2 Mbps, and being able to provide Quality of Service in terms of delays, jitter, errors... etc. NodeB is a concept representing a logical node responsible for 3G radio transmission and reception technology in one or more cells to/from the UE (Mobile).

Role Wireless Test Engineer

Responsibilities Performing Global sanity tests, Radio Testing, Various Feature testing and System testing.

OAM level testing- Test Plan, Test Case Development & Test Execution. Testing various configurations with xCCM and xCCMU with RRH/xTRM.

Testing on various Iub backhauls – ATM, Hybrid , IP.

NodeB Synchronization with IEEE 1588 Server – NodeB Synchronization using PTP protocol, Jitter and Wander testing using ANUE Tool. Configuring the Test setup. Responsible for the testing of IEEE 1588 v2 synchronization solution feature & IP backhaul features for NodeB.

Project Description The X-Spot is a service wireless LAN equipment that utilizes Intel (R) IXP network processor. X-Spot has one WAN port, one LAN port and two 802.11g compliant 54Mbps wireless LAN access point functionality. The wireless LAN access points provide features like WDS, virtual AP (using multiple SSID/BSSID/VLAN), enhanced security features like WPA2, WPA, QoS, Wireless Roaming and Radius accounting. In addition to this it provides basic broadband router functions, PPPoE client, DNS Proxy, DHCP Server and DHCP Relay functions. Using X-Spot devices, wireless hot spots can be configured.
