• Participated in physical design of database, database modeling as well as normalization and denormalization of database as needed for better performance. Created new databases, export/import data, data loading and cleansing

• Responsible for troubleshooting, performance monitoring, query optimization, space estimation and upgrades. Constantly monitoring and tuning of 10 databases (including tables and index size, SGA, locks, I/O, rebuilding indexes frequently). REORG data when necessary. Trouble shooting user problems as they relate to performance issues and new enhancements.

• Backup of several gigabyte databases at each data center using EBU and SQL Backtrack. Maintain replication on different sites (Master-Snapshots & Mater-Master sites).
