Dear Sir or Madam:

I’m writing in response to your advertisement for a job opening within your company. I have over eight years’ experience in this field, and although I do not have the degree you’re looking for, I have strong technical skills and proficiency in word processing, access, and spreadsheets. In addition, I have successfully provided support services to my fellow colleagues, as well as leading my department area for my employers.

I’d like the opportunity to tell you more about my work experience and how my skill set could contribute to the successful day-to-day running of your company. I’d be happy to supply strong references at your request.

I look forward to discussing the position with you.

* My current job is being held at Lowes as a Front End Cashier. At Lowes I am responsible for the last impression the customers has on the store. It is required of us to sell and drive the importance of our protection plans. It is very diligent that we are well informed about the store and products. Within this capacity I was responsible for a large amount of money. I believe that this experience with this well known company is a great asset. Being able to converse and help others is a big part of who I am.

*Prior to Lowes I held a temporary position at The U.S department of commerce, Census Bureau Division. My position is a NRFU Enumerator; I am responsible for going around my community and making sure our case file surveys are filled out so everyone can be counted. I make sure my surveys and routes are all completed on time, and trying to get everyone to comply by doing the survey. Working for the Census Bureau has made me realize how much the state is doing to help benefit our communities and to help the next generation of young adults to have the stepping stones they need in order to succeed in there coming life.

*Prior to The Census Bureau I was employed at JC Penney in the heart of Manhattan. My position is a Customer Service Associate, I was responsible for greeting the customers, and making sure they are treated with the utmost respect. I make sure my customers are highly satisfied with my customer service and they leave the store with a smile on their faces. JC Penney is a great stepping stone in the career field of Customer Service, and it was an honor working within the company. I believe that having these out look experience can help me to benefit your company in a much more productive way.

I would be delighted to have the opportunity to meet you in person and tell you more about my experience. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you in advance for your consideration,

Sincerely,

Kimberley Blackett
