ACCOMPLISHMENTS

MANAGED IT Support and Application Development projects for HP. Coordinated all aspects

of application support activities for fifteen applications using project management best

practices; led two application development projects using outsourced resources;

participated in support initiatives aimed at improving support processes, optimizing

infrastructures and promoting process improvements. Results: Reduced overall cost of

ownership by 15%. Reduced size of application portfolio by 20% while improving

application functionality and user satisfaction.

DIRECTED the delivery of three NSK operating systems for Hewlett Packard. Planned

software release program to meet quarterly release schedule; led cross-functional release

core teams, software fix/waiver teams, track program using software defect log, risk and

issues log, change log, QA metrics reporting and by presenting weekly executive summary;

performed release to release trend analysis reporting used for release process

improvements. Results: Each release program was delivered on time and on budget while

valued at over $30M over first six months of FCS.

RE-ENGINEERED the QA coverage assessment process for the NSK QA organizations at Hewlett

Packard. Instituted the Development/QA all-hands; selected a new QA assessment team

charged with setting formal QA plans ahead of release program; emphasized and sold the

idea of collaborative testing, centralized metrics collection and analysis. Results:

Increased testing coverage; improved QA’s visibility with stakeholders and software

development organizations; increased defects found and fixed during prior to FCS.

Planned and executed projects to transition company IT assets from legacy data centers to

new data centers as part of the corporate data center consolidation project. Executed

projects to transition application support to offshore support organization. Planned and

executed an Oracle upgrade of one of HP’s large 6TB+ eCommerce applications.

VSI ALLIANCE Developer (CONSULTANT) Jan. 2007 – Mar. 2007

Maintain and enhance an Intellectual Property assessment tool for VSI Alliance.

Performed an analysis of the application and requirements with the users; developed

several solutions to implement the changes; implemented the solutions in VBA in two new

modules; created several new charts; documented the new features and certain points of

functionality that were not fully understood by the users; tested the application until

fully accepted by the users. Tool is in Beta with VSIA clients.

Managed a project to deploy a large number of messaging servers for one of HP’s managed

services clients. Develop master schedule of sub projects; created a set of project

Upgraded a suite of PMO tools to meet the needs of the business in the NonStop division.

This assignment consisted of performing a gap analysis that examined the features

provided by the tools and the requirements set by the PMO. Having established the scope

of the project that would bridge the gap, I provided an estimate of work and was assigned

the task of developing the new set of tools. The project was delivered on time with the

desired set of features and repairs as estimated. My contract was extended with a new

assignment as developer for the CRIS project. I was given specifications for an

application that converted textural documents into a set of predefined tables that were

part of larger application used for releasing production builds of the NSK operating

system.

HEWLETT PACKARD Senior Program Manager Feb. 2000 – Sept. 2002

Managed three releases of the NonStop operating system. The position was focused on

leading cross-functional technology teams while following a rigorous project methodology

supported by the Project Management Office. Maintained PMO release web site, produced

risk/issues logs, change management logs, defect repair hit-list, QA testing metrics;

presented executive summary at weekly program reviews to all levels of management; hosted

risk analysis and mitigation team; RCA teams for product recall and stop shipment orders
